Setup and Installation

The TopStrong 60cm Range Hood is designed for wall mounting. Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. It supports both ducted (external venting) and recirculation (internal filtering) modes. For recirculation mode, carbon filters (CF-D) must be purchased separately.

Installation Steps (General Guidelines):

1. Preparation: Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the hood's weight (15.1 kg). Mark drilling points according to the provided template (if included) and the dimensions below.
2. Mounting: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall. Carefully lift and attach the range hood to the bracket.
3. Ducting/Recirculation:
   • Ducted Mode: Connect the exhaust outlet to an external ducting system. Ensure the duct is straight and as short as possible for maximum efficiency.
   • Recirculation Mode: Install the carbon filters (not included) and ensure the air outlet is clear for filtered air to return to the kitchen.
4. Electrical Connection: Connect the range hood to a suitable power outlet. Ensure all electrical connections comply with local regulations.
5. Chimney Installation: Assemble and install the decorative chimney sections, ensuring they are securely fitted.

Operating Instructions

The range hood is operated via a soft-touch control panel located on the front. The panel allows you to power on/off, adjust fan speed, and control the LED lighting.

Control Panel Functions:

• Power Button (Ein/Aus): Press to turn the range hood on or off.
• Fan Speed Adjustment (- / +): Use the minus (-) and plus (+) buttons to cycle through the 9 fan speed settings. Higher speeds provide stronger extraction.
• LED Lighting Button: Press to turn the LED lights on or off.
• Delay Function: The control panel includes a delay function (1-9 minutes) for the fan to continue running after cooking to clear residual odors. Refer to the specific icon on the panel for activation.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your range hood. The mesh grease filters are crucial for trapping grease and should be cleaned frequently.

Cleaning Grease Filters:

1. Removal: Carefully unlatch and remove the mesh grease filters from the underside of the hood.
2. Cleaning: The filters are dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand in hot water with a mild detergent. Ensure all grease residue is removed.
3. Drying and Reinstallation: Allow the filters to dry completely before reinserting them into the hood. Ensure they are securely latched.

Frequency: For normal use, clean filters every 3-4 weeks. For heavy cooking, clean more frequently.

Cleaning the Exterior:

Carbon Filter Replacement (for Recirculation Mode):
