1. Introduction

The PopBloom RL90 Aquarium Light is a high-performance LED lighting system designed for marine fish tanks and coral reefs. 2. Safety Instructions

4. Specifications

The RL90 light is designed to provide optimal PAR values for hard and soft corals (SPS/LPS) in tanks up to 30 inches deep. For larger tanks (72-96 inches), multiple RL90 units are recommended.

5. Installation

The RL90 light offers versatile mounting options, including hanging kits and arm kits (sold separately).

5.1 Hanging Kit Installation

The hanging kit allows you to suspend the light above your aquarium. Ensure the hanging points are secure and can support the weight of the light. Adjust the height to achieve the desired light spread and intensity (recommended water surface to light distance: 15-30cm).

5.2 Arm Kit Installation (Optional)

An arm kit (not included in standard package) can be used for rimless or rimmed tanks. It is adjustable to suit tank widths of 12-25cm and a height of 20-35cm.

6. Smart-APP Control

The PopBloom RL90 features Smart-APP control, allowing you to manage your lighting from your smartphone. Download the "SmartLife" app to get started.

6.1 App Download and Device Connection

To download the app, scan the QR code below or search for "Smart Life" in your device's app store. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.

6.1.1 Connecting the Lamp

1. Open the SmartLife app.
2. Tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
3. The app will automatically search for nearby PopBloom lamps. Select your lamp(s) from the discovered devices.
4. Enter your Wi-Fi network password. Ensure it is correct.
5. Wait for the lamp to connect. Once connected, you can name each light for easy identification (e.g., "left", "right").

6.1.2 Creating a Group

If you have multiple RL90 lights, you can group them for synchronized control:

1. From the device list, select one of the connected lights.
2. Tap the settings icon (usually a pencil or three dots) in the top right corner.
3. Select "Create Group".
4. Choose the lights you wish to add to the group.
5. Name your group (e.g., "Main Tank").

6.2 Operating the Light

6.2.1 Manual Channel Control

You can manually adjust the intensity of each of the 4 LED channels:

1. In the app, select the individual light or group.
2. Navigate to the "Manual mode" or similar section.
3. Use the sliders to adjust the percentage intensity for each channel (Ch1, Ch2, Ch3, Ch4).

6.2.2 Preset Programs

The app offers 16 preset lighting modes optimized for various aquarium needs (e.g., SPS dominant, LPS & Soft coral, Fish & plants, Coral fragging). You can select a program from the library:

1. Access the program library within the app.
2. Browse the available preset modes.
3. Select the desired program (e.g., "SPS dominant" or "LPS & Soft coral").
4. The app will display the lighting schedule for the selected program.

6.2.3 Slow Acclimation & Lunar Cycle

The RL90 app includes features for slow acclimation and a lunar cycle to support coral health:

• Slow Acclimation: Gradually increases light intensity over a set number of days to help new corals adapt to the lighting. You can set the duration and initial intensity.
• Lunar Cycle: Activates a 29-day lunar cycle, adjusting moonlight intensity to simulate natural moon phases.

6.2.4 Editing Your Own Program

You can create and customize your own lighting programs:

1. Navigate to the custom program editing section.
2. Adjust the whole curve or move individual time points to set desired intensities for each channel throughout the day.
3. Add or delete time points as needed.
4. Save your custom program with a unique name.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the light's exterior and lens with a soft, dry cloth to prevent salt creep and maintain light output. Ensure the light is off and cool before cleaning.
• Cooling System: The RL90 features smart fans. Ensure the fan vents are clear of obstructions to allow for proper airflow and optimal LED temperature control.

8. Troubleshooting

• Light not turning on: Check power connections, ensure the power supply is functioning, and verify the light is properly connected to the app.
• App connection issues: Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. Restart the app and the light. Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct during setup.
• Inconsistent light output: Check app settings for any active programs, acclimation modes, or lunar cycles that might be affecting intensity. Ensure all channels are set as desired.
