Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance of your replacement parts ensures optimal cleaning performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.
Main Roller Brush
- Cleaning Frequency: Inspect weekly, clean every 1-2 weeks depending on usage.
- Procedure: Remove the main brush. Use the cleaning tool (often included with the vacuum) or scissors to cut and remove hair and debris tangled around the brush and its bearings. Wipe the brush with a dry cloth.
Side Brushes
- Cleaning Frequency: Inspect weekly, clean every 2-4 weeks.
- Procedure: Remove the side brushes. Untangle any hair or debris. If bristles are bent, you can soak them in warm water for a few minutes to help them regain their shape. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
HEPA Filters
- Cleaning Frequency: Tap clean weekly, replace every 2-3 months.
- Procedure: Remove the filter from the dustbin. Gently tap the filter against a trash can to dislodge dust and debris. Do not wash HEPA filters with water unless explicitly stated by the vacuum manufacturer, as this can damage the filter material.
Mop Cloths
- Cleaning Frequency: Wash after each mopping session.
- Procedure: Remove the mop cloth. Hand wash with mild detergent and warm water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry completely before reattaching to prevent mildew and odors.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Brushes not spinning or making unusual noise: Check for tangled hair or debris around the brush and its bearings. Ensure the brushes are installed correctly and securely.
- Reduced suction or poor cleaning performance: The HEPA filter might be clogged. Clean or replace the filter. Ensure the dustbin is empty and properly seated.
- Mop cloth not effectively cleaning: Ensure the mop cloth is clean and properly attached. Check if the water tank (if applicable) is filled and dispensing water correctly.
- Parts do not fit: Double-check that you have the correct replacement parts for the Proscenic M6 Pro model. Ensure parts are oriented correctly during installation.
