6. Operating Instructions

  • Color Temperature Selection: As described in the setup, the desired color temperature is set via the switch on the bulb itself. Once set, the bulb will operate at that chosen color temperature until manually changed.
  • Dimming: If connected to an LED-compatible dimmer switch, you can adjust the brightness of the bulb using the dimmer control. Ensure the dimmer is rated for LED loads.

7. Maintenance

The EcoSmart LED bulb requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: To clean the bulb, ensure the power is off and the bulb is cool. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: There are no user-serviceable parts inside the bulb. Do not attempt to open or repair the bulb.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Bulb does not turn on:
    • Check that the power to the fixture is on.
    • Ensure the bulb is securely screwed into the socket.
    • Test the bulb in another working fixture to confirm it is not faulty.
  • Dusk-to-Dawn feature not working correctly:
    • Ensure the sensor on the bulb is not obstructed by the fixture, shade, or any other object.
    • Verify that there is no other light source (e.g., another lamp, street light) directly illuminating the sensor, which could prevent it from turning on at dusk or cause it to turn off prematurely.
  • Bulb flickers or does not dim properly:
    • Confirm that you are using an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Older incandescent-only dimmers may cause flickering or damage.
    • Ensure the dimmer switch is properly installed and functioning.
