Thank you for choosing the OMMO Metal Detector. This analog pointer metal detector is designed for adults and teens, featuring a 4.3-inch backlight screen and a 10-inch waterproof coil. It offers multiple operating modes for detecting various metals, including gold, coins, and other treasures. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper use and longevity of your device.

• This metal detector is recommended for individuals over 12 years old.
• The control box of the metal detector is NOT WATERPROOF. Ensure it remains dry to prevent damage.
• Always exercise caution when digging to avoid injury or damage to underground utilities.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your OMMO Metal Detector:

1. Connect the armrest accessories to the upper stem.
2. Attach the handle to the middle stem.
3. Connect the upper stem (with armrest) to the handle assembly.
4. Connect the middle stem (with handle) to the lower stem.
5. Unscrew the long bolt from the search coil.
6. Attach the 10-inch waterproof search coil to the lower stem using the long bolt.
7. Insert the control box into the handle assembly.
8. Wind the search coil cable securely around the stem.
9. Insert the coil's plug into the matching connector on the control box.
10. Open the buckle on the telescopic stem to adjust the height to your preference (70cm-125cm / 27.5"-49").

Operating Modes

The OMMO Metal Detector features three distinct operating modes to optimize your metal detection experience:

• ALL METAL MODE: This mode is designed to search for all types of metal objects, including steel, zinc, aluminum, gold, copper, and silver. It provides comprehensive detection without discrimination.
• DISCRIMINATION MODE: In this mode, you can deselect specific metal types that you do not wish to detect, allowing the device to ignore unwanted trash items. Press the "Mode" button to switch between "ALL" and "DISC" modes.
• PINPOINT MODE: Use this mode to precisely locate the target once a signal is detected. Press and hold the "PP" button to activate pinpointing.

Maintenance

• After each use, especially in wet or sandy conditions, wipe down the search coil and lower stem with a damp cloth.
• Ensure the control box remains dry at all times. If it gets wet, immediately power off the device and allow it to dry completely before next use.
• Store the metal detector in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Check if the 9V batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
• No Signal/Weak Signal: Ensure the search coil cable is securely plugged into the control box. Adjust the sensitivity setting to a higher level. Test the device with a known metal object.
• False Signals/Chattering: Lower the sensitivity setting. Move away from sources of electromagnetic interference (e.g., power lines, other electronic devices). Ensure the search coil cable is tightly wound around the stem.
• Inaccurate Pinpointing: Practice with known targets to understand the pinpointing function. Ensure the search coil is moved slowly and steadily over the target area.
