2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Read all instructions before using this product.
- SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for the Ingco FCLI2001 battery charger.
- Before using the charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and product using the battery.
- CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, charge only Ingco 20V Lithium-Ion battery packs. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.
- Do not expose the charger to rain or snow.
- Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by the battery charger manufacturer; this may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger.
- Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
- An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of an improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. If an extension cord must be used, make sure:
- That the pins on the plug of the extension cord are the same number, size, and shape as those on the plug of the charger.
- That the extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition.
- That the wire size is large enough for the AC ampere rating of the charger.
- Do not operate charger with a damaged cord or plug. Replace them immediately.
- Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to a qualified service person.
- Do not disassemble charger; take it to a qualified service person when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
- To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
- DANGER: Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the battery pack case is cracked or damaged, do not insert it into the charger.
- Do not store the appliance in damp or wet locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 50°C (122°F).
- The charger is designed to operate on standard household electrical power (240V). Do not attempt to use it on any other voltage.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Charging a Battery Pack
- Ensure the charger is plugged into a working 240V AC outlet.
- Align the Ingco 20V Lithium-Ion battery pack with the battery slot on the charger.
- Slide the battery pack firmly into the charger until it clicks into place.
- Observe the LED indicator on the charger. It should illuminate solid red, indicating that charging has begun.
- When the battery pack is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn solid green.
- Once charging is complete, remove the battery pack from the charger by pressing the release button (if present on the battery) and sliding it out.
- Unplug the charger from the power outlet when not in use.
Note: A new battery pack or one that has been stored for a long period may require several charge/discharge cycles to reach full capacity. The charger is designed to detect battery temperature and will pause charging if the battery is too hot or too cold, indicated by a flashing green light. Charging will resume automatically once the battery reaches an acceptable temperature range.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the charger from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the charger.
- Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the charger.
- Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
6.2 Storage
- Store the charger in a dry, indoor location, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Ensure the charger is unplugged from the power source when stored.
- Store battery packs separately from the charger, ideally at a partial charge (around 50%) for long-term storage.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger not working / No LED indication | No power to the charger. | Check if the charger is properly plugged into a live 240V AC outlet. Test the outlet with another appliance. |
| LED flashing red | Battery error or faulty battery. | Remove the battery pack and reinsert it. If the error persists, the battery pack may be damaged or faulty and should be replaced. |
| LED flashing green | Battery temperature too high or too low. | Move the battery and charger to a room temperature environment (10°C to 40°C or 50°F to 104°F) and allow them to cool down or warm up. Charging will resume automatically. |
| Battery not charging fully | Battery pack is old or damaged. | Battery packs have a limited lifespan. Consider replacing the battery pack if it no longer holds a charge effectively. |
