4. Product Overview
The RF-RT6 remote features an intuitive layout for easy control of your LED lighting.
- Power Button: Turns the connected LED strips on or off.
- Brightness Touch Wheel: Allows for smooth adjustment of brightness from 0-100%. Rotate clockwise to increase brightness, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Zone Selection Buttons (1, 2, 3, 4): Selects the specific zone(s) you wish to control. Each zone can be paired with one or more receivers.
- Scene/Preset Buttons (S1, S2, S3, S4): These buttons are typically used to save and recall specific brightness levels or lighting scenes. Functionality may depend on the paired receiver.
5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Pairing with Receiver
The remote must be paired with a compatible JOYLIT V1 or T1 receiver before use. Each remote can control one or more receivers, and one receiver can be controlled by multiple remotes.
- Ensure the LED strip is connected to the receiver and the receiver is powered on.
- On the receiver, briefly press the 'Match' button (refer to your receiver's manual for exact location). The indicator light on the receiver will typically flash.
- Within 5 seconds of pressing the 'Match' button on the receiver, press the desired Zone button (1, 2, 3, or 4) on the RF-RT6 remote.
- The LED strip connected to the receiver should flash a few times, indicating successful pairing.
- Repeat this process for each receiver and desired zone.
Tip for Group/Independent Control: Some users have found that pressing the Power button and Zone 1 simultaneously can synchronize all paired lights to a single control. To enable independent control of zones, try pressing the Power button and Zone 4 simultaneously. Experimentation may be required based on your specific receiver model and desired configuration.

- Re-pair the remote with the receiver following the instructions in Section 5.2.
- LED strips not dimming or responding:
- Verify that the receiver is properly connected to the LED strip and has power.
- Confirm the remote is paired to the correct zone(s).
