6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your tectake Clamp Awning.

  • Cleaning the Fabric: Clean the awning fabric with a soft brush or cloth and mild soapy water. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or high-pressure washers, as these can damage the UV protection and water-repellent coating. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the fabric to air dry completely before retracting.
  • Frame Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
  • Seasonal Storage: During prolonged periods of non-use, especially in winter or during severe weather forecasts, it is recommended to fully retract the awning. For off-season storage, disassemble the awning and store all components in a dry, protected area to prevent corrosion and fabric degradation.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and clamping mechanisms for tightness. Ensure the fabric is free from tears or excessive wear.
