Installation Guide
Follow these steps carefully to install your GeekTale K13 Smart Door Knob. A screwdriver is required for installation.
- Prepare the Door: Ensure all previous locks are removed from the door.
- Install the Latch: Insert the single latch into the edge of the door. Secure it with 2 x Screw A. Ensure the latch is firmly in place.
- Position Exterior Knob: Separate the door knob assembly. Take the Exterior Knob and place it through the door and latch on the exterior side. Feed the small wire and connector through the opening on top of the latch cavity.
- Connect Interior Knob: Take the Interior Knob and feed its wire through to the internal side of the door. Join the two wires by pushing the connectors together.
- Align and Secure Knobs: Line up both the interior and exterior knobs through the door cavity and push them together.
- Fasten Knobs: Remove the end cap on the Interior Knob. Line up both the interior and exterior knobs and screw them together using the 2 x Screw B provided. Replace the end cap.
- Insert Batteries: Insert 4 x AAA alkaline batteries into the Interior Knob as specified by the + and - symbols. Replace the end cap on the Interior Knob.

App Setup & Fingerprint Enrollment
To unlock the full potential of your smart door knob, download and set up the Geek Smart App.
App Download & Activation:
- Download the App: Scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or search for "GeekSmart" in the Google Play Store (Android) or iPhone App Store (iOS).
- Register & Login: Register and log in using your E-mail address.
- Add Device: Tap the "Add Device" button in the app interface. Select the K01 model from the list of hot products.
- Connect Lock: The app will display nearby door locks. Select your lock to complete the pairing process.
Adding Fingerprints:
- In the app, click on "Member Management".
- Click on "Me" (or the user you wish to add a fingerprint for).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to place your finger on the fingerprint recognition area of the knob. You will need to repeat this procedure multiple times (typically 6 times) to ensure a complete scan for enhanced security.
- Once completed, you can name the fingerprint for easy identification. Fingerprints can be deleted at a later date if needed.

Operating Modes
The GeekTale K13 Smart Door Knob features three distinct operating modes, which can be easily switched using a button on the interior knob:
- Auto Lock Mode: Turn the button to the middle position. The door will automatically lock after 5 seconds.
- Passage Mode: Turn the button to the left. The door remains unlocked, allowing free entry and exit.
- Security Mode: Turn the button to the right. Only the administrator's fingerprint, app control, or physical keys can unlock the door.

Battery Information
Your GeekTale K13 Smart Door Knob is powered by 4 x AAA alkaline batteries, providing long-lasting performance.
- Battery Type: 4 x AAA Alkaline Batteries (not included).
- Battery Life: Up to 8 months on a single charge (based on typical usage).
- Charging: The lock features a built-in 450mAh rechargeable battery. It takes approximately 3 hours for a full charge via the Type-C charging port. Please fully charge the lock before first use. Make sure to use a USB-A to Type-C cord to charge (cord is not included).
- Low Battery Alert: The lock will provide an alert when battery levels are low, prompting you to replace or recharge the batteries.
