2. Setup and Loading

Loading Staples:

To load staples into your AFMAT Effortless Stapler, follow these steps:

1. Locate the red release button at the back of the stapler.
2. Press the release button firmly. The staple magazine will pop out from the front.
3. Insert a strip of compatible staples into the open magazine. Ensure the staples are facing the correct direction (legs down).
4. Gently push the staple magazine back into the stapler until it clicks securely into place.

2. Insert the corner of the paper stack into the stapler's opening, positioning it where you want the staple to be placed.
3. Apply gentle, firm pressure to the top of the stapler. Due to its low-force design, only minimal effort is required, often just one finger.
4. Continue pressing down until the stapler mechanism fully engages and the staple is driven through the paper. Ensure you press down deep enough before releasing to avoid half-staples or jams.
5. Release pressure and remove the stapled documents.

Dual-Use Functionality:

4. Maintenance

1. Locate the small metal tab at the very back of the stapler, near the red release button.
2. Slide this tab underneath the staple you wish to remove.
3. Gently lift the stapler, using the tab to pry up the staple legs from the paper.
4. Once the staple is loosened, you can easily pull it out.

What to do if the stapler is jammed?

1. Press the release button to open the staple magazine.
2. Gently catch and remove any jammed staples, using pliers if necessary.
3. Remove and discard a few staples near the staple outlet to clear the path.

What to do if the staple tray is jammed and cannot be opened?

1. If the staple tray cannot be opened by pressing the release button, try to gently separate the stuck metal parts with your hands.
2. Alternatively, gently pry the stuck metal parts with a pair of pliers.
3. Once cleared, the staple tray should be able to open normally by pressing the release button.
