Setup
- Battery Connection: Connect the red DC cable from the inverter to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery. Connect the black DC cable to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure connections are tight and secure. Incorrect polarity will damage the unit.
- AC Input (Grid Connection): If you intend to use the charging function or have the inverter act as an emergency power supply, connect the AC input cable to a standard 230V AC wall outlet.
- AC Output (Device Connection): Plug your 230V AC appliances into the output sockets on the inverter's front or rear panel. Ensure the total power consumption of connected devices does not exceed the inverter's rated power of 500W.
- Placement: Place the inverter on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure there is adequate space around the cooling fan.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: After all connections are made, switch on the inverter. The LED display will illuminate, showing the current status, including input voltage, output voltage, and battery charge level.
- Monitoring the Display: The LED display provides real-time information. Monitor it for battery status, AC input/output voltage, and any error indicators.
- Charging Function: When the inverter is connected to both a battery and an AC grid source, it will automatically charge the connected 12V battery. The display will indicate the charging status.
- Emergency Power Supply: In case of a power outage (loss of AC grid input), the inverter will automatically switch to battery power, providing continuous 230V AC output to connected devices within 4ms.
- Power Off: To turn off the inverter, first disconnect all AC appliances, then switch off the inverter, and finally disconnect the AC input cable (if connected) and battery cables.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the inverter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
- Battery Care: Ensure your 12V battery is well-maintained and charged. The inverter's charging function helps maintain battery health when connected to the grid.
- Connection Checks: Periodically check all electrical connections (DC and AC) to ensure they remain tight and free from corrosion.
- Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and AC power. Store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power output | Battery not connected or low voltage; Inverter switched off; Blown fuse/circuit breaker. | Check battery connections and charge level; Ensure inverter is switched on; Reset circuit breaker or check internal fuse (if accessible and safe). |
| Overload warning | Connected appliances exceed 500W rated power. | Reduce the load by disconnecting some appliances. |
| Overheating warning | Poor ventilation; Excessive load. | Ensure adequate airflow around the inverter; Reduce load. Allow unit to cool down. |
| Short circuit protection activated | Short circuit in connected appliance or wiring. | Disconnect all appliances and check for faulty wiring or devices. Reconnect one by one to identify the faulty item. |
| Battery not charging | AC input not connected; AC input voltage too low/high; Faulty battery. | Ensure AC input cable is securely connected to a live outlet; Check AC input voltage; Test battery condition. |
