5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Floodlight

The floodlight features a 180° adjustable bracket and a sensor that can rotate 360° horizontally and 180° vertically, allowing for flexible installation angles. The widened and thickened steel bracket ensures secure mounting.

  1. Choose a suitable mounting location. The ideal mounting height for optimal motion detection is between 3.5 and 5 meters.
  2. Mark the drilling points on the wall, ceiling, or ground using the bracket as a template.
  3. Drill holes and insert the provided wall plugs.
  4. Secure the floodlight bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
  5. Adjust the floodlight and sensor to your desired angle.

5.2 Electrical Connection

The floodlight is designed for direct connection to your electrical system. It is double-insulated and does not require a ground wire.

  • Connect the blue wire to the Neutral (N) terminal.
  • Connect the brown wire to the Live (L) terminal.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Motion Sensor Settings

The motion sensor features two adjustable settings: TIME and LUX. These settings are controlled via key switches on the sensor unit.

  • TIME Setting: This controls how long the light remains on after motion is detected. Available durations are 10 seconds, 45 seconds, 120 seconds, and 600 seconds. Select the desired duration using the 'TIME' button.
  • LUX Setting: This determines the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active.
    • Sun Mode (Day): The light will activate when motion is detected, regardless of ambient light (works all day).
    • Moon Mode (Night): The light will only activate when motion is detected and the ambient light is low (works only at night to save energy).
Select the desired mode using the 'LUX' button.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your floodlight, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on.No power supply; incorrect LUX setting; sensor malfunction.Check power connection. Ensure LUX setting is appropriate for ambient light (e.g., Sun mode for daytime operation). Test sensor by waving hand in front.
Light stays on continuously.Continuous motion detected; LUX setting too high (Sun mode at night); sensor malfunction.Check for constant movement in the detection area. Adjust LUX to Moon mode for night-only operation.
Light turns on too frequently or randomly.Sensor too sensitive; environmental factors (e.g., moving branches, small animals); incorrect LUX setting.Adjust sensor angle to reduce detection area. Ensure no obstructions are causing false triggers. Verify LUX setting is correct.
Light flashes or flickers.Unstable power supply; loose wiring connection; product defect.Check electrical connections for tightness. Ensure stable power. If problem persists, contact support.
Motion detection range is too short/long.Sensor angle incorrect; environmental factors.Adjust the sensor's vertical and horizontal angles to optimize detection. Clear any obstructions.
