Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Clean the radio with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure no moisture enters the ports.
2. Battery Care
For optimal battery life, fully charge the rechargeable batteries before first use. If storing the radios for extended periods, charge them periodically to maintain battery health. Ensure battery contacts are clean and free of debris.
Troubleshooting
- No power: Check battery installation. Ensure rechargeable batteries are charged or replace AA batteries if using them.
- Cannot transmit or receive: Verify both radios are on the same channel and privacy code. Check battery level. Ensure the PTT button is fully pressed when transmitting.
- Poor audio quality: Move closer to the other radio. Check for physical obstructions between units. Adjust the volume. Ensure the earpiece is properly connected if used.
