5. Setup Guide
5.1 Important Requirement: Maxcio Tuya Zigbee Gateway
The Maxcio Water Leak Sensor requires a Maxcio Tuya Zigbee Gateway (sold separately) to function and send app notifications. Ensure your gateway is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported). One gateway can connect up to 22 devices.

5.2 Battery Installation

Place the sensor directly on a flat surface in areas prone to water leaks. The two metal probes on the bottom of the sensor must come into contact with water for detection.

When the sensor's probes detect water at a level of 0.5mm or higher, it will trigger an alarm. The sensor's LED will flash red, and it will send a signal to the connected Zigbee Gateway.
