This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use and maintenance of your ORIGBELIE TP620 External USB 3.0 Type-C CD/DVD Drive. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

3. Product Features

4. Setup Instructions

1. Connect the Drive: Locate the integrated USB 3.0 Type-A/Type-C cable on the back of the drive. Plug the appropriate connector (USB-A or USB-C) into an available USB port on your computer.
2. Power Supply (Optional but Recommended): If your computer's USB port does not provide sufficient power, or if you experience unstable operation, connect the provided USB A to Mini USB Power Supply Cable. Plug the Mini USB end into the drive's Mini USB port (charging port, not data port) and the USB-A end into a 5V charger or power bank (not included).
3. Driver Installation: The drive is plug-and-play and typically does not require manual driver installation. Your operating system should automatically recognize the device.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Inserting and Ejecting Discs

1. To Insert: Press the pop-up button on the front of the drive to open the disc tray. Carefully place the CD or DVD onto the tray with the label side facing up. Gently push the tray back into the drive until it clicks shut.
2. To Eject: Press the pop-up button to open the disc tray. Alternatively, you can eject the disc through your computer's operating system (e.g., right-click the drive icon and select 'Eject').
3. Forced Ejection: In case of power failure or if the eject button does not work, locate the small hole on the front of the drive. Insert a straightened paperclip into this hole to manually open the disc tray.

5.2 Playing/Burning Discs

Once a disc is inserted and recognized by your computer, you can perform various operations:

• Playing Media: For playing DVDs or CDs, you may need compatible media playback software installed on your computer. For Windows 11, software like VLC Media Player is often recommended for DVD playback.
• Burning Discs: Use your computer's built-in burning software or third-party applications to write data to blank CDs or DVDs.
• Data Backup: The drive can be used for backing up files to CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW media.

5.3 DVD Region Code Setting

DVDs are often region-encoded. The disc can only be played when the region code of the DVD drive matches that of the DVD. The drive allows changing the region code approximately 4-5 times. Be aware that once the maximum changes are reached, the region code will be permanently set to the last selected region.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the drive clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning the exterior.
• Avoid exposing the drive to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
• Do not attempt to open the drive casing, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.
• Handle discs carefully to prevent scratches or damage, which can affect readability.

• Drive Not Recognized:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the drive and the computer.
  • Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.
  • If using a desktop PC, try connecting to a USB port on the back of the computer (directly on the motherboard) for better power delivery.
  • Connect the external power supply cable (USB A to Mini USB) if your computer's USB port cannot provide enough power.
  • Restart your computer.
• Disc Not Reading/Burning:
  • Ensure the disc is clean and free of scratches or smudges.
  • Verify that the disc type is supported by the drive (CD±R/RW, DVD±R/RW, etc.).
  • Check if the DVD region code matches the disc's region.
  • Ensure you have appropriate software installed for playing or burning discs (e.g., VLC for DVD playback).
  • If burning, ensure you are using a blank, compatible disc and that the burning software is configured correctly.
• Slow Performance:
  • Ensure the drive is connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer for optimal speed. USB 2.0 ports will result in slower transfer rates.
  • Close other applications that might be consuming system resources.
• RGB LED Not Lighting Up:
  • Ensure the drive is properly connected and receiving power.
