  3. Charge time is approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.
  4. Remove the battery once fully charged.

3.2 Guide Bar and Chain Installation/Replacement

The chainsaw supports both 6-inch and 8-inch guide bars. The tool-free tensioning system simplifies this process.

  1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
  2. Loosen the knob on the side of the chainsaw that secures the guide bar cover.
  3. Remove the guide bar cover.
  4. Carefully place the chain around the sprocket and then along the guide bar groove. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction (refer to markings on the guide bar).
  5. Position the guide bar onto the chainsaw, ensuring the chain is properly seated.
  6. Replace the guide bar cover and tighten the knob. The spring-loaded mechanism will automatically tension the chain.
  7. Verify chain tension: The chain should be snug but still allow for slight movement when pulled away from the guide bar. Adjust the knob if necessary.

3.3 Automatic Chain Lubrication

This chainsaw features an automatic lubrication system to ensure optimal chain performance and longevity.

  1. Locate the oil reservoir cap on the top of the chainsaw body.
  2. Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with general motor oil. The reservoir is semi-transparent for easy level monitoring.
  3. Replace the cap securely.
  4. The system will automatically lubricate the chain during operation. Regularly check the oil level.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Chainsaw

  1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the chainsaw.
  2. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands (if applicable, or one hand for single-hand models, ensuring stable grip).
  3. Press the safety button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger to start the chain. Release the safety button once the chain is running.

4.2 Cutting Techniques

  • Always maintain a stable stance and good balance.
  • Allow the chain to reach full speed before contacting the material to be cut.
  • Apply light pressure. Let the chainsaw do the work. Forcing it can lead to kickback or damage.
  • Be aware of kickback: Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.
  • When cutting branches, support the branch to prevent it from pinching the chain.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.

5.1 Cleaning

  • Always remove the battery before cleaning.
  • Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
  • Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

5.2 Chain Sharpening and Replacement

  • A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase the risk of kickback. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary.
  • Refer to the chain manufacturer's instructions for proper sharpening techniques.
  • Replacement chains are available from Supstable.

5.3 Battery Care

  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them periodically.
