Compatibility

This solar panel is compatible with DC 5V battery cameras, doorbells, or outdoor lights that feature either a Micro-USB or USB-C connector. A Micro-USB to Type-C conversion interface adapter is included for versatility.

Important Note:

• NOT compatible with plug-in cameras.
• NOT compatible with Arlo, Blink, Wyze, Simplisafe, or Ring cameras.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Rhorawill 6W Solar Panel for optimal performance.

1. Choose an Installation Location

Select an outdoor location that receives direct sunlight for the majority of the day. Avoid areas with significant shade from trees, buildings, or other obstructions, as partial shading can significantly reduce charging efficiency.

2. Mount the Bracket

1. Position the 360° security wall mount bracket on your chosen surface.
2. Mark the screw holes.
3. Drill pilot holes if necessary.
4. Secure the bracket using the provided mounting screws and screw bag.

3. Attach the Solar Panel

Attach the solar panel to the mounted bracket. The bracket allows for 360-degree rotation and 90-degree tilt, enabling precise positioning.

4. Adjust Orientation

Adjust the solar panel's orientation to maximize direct sunlight exposure throughout the day. Seasonal changes may require minor adjustments for optimal performance.

5. Connect to Device

Connect the 3-meter Micro USB cable from the solar panel to your compatible device. If your device uses a USB-C port, use the provided Micro USB to Type-C adapter.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and connected, the Rhorawill 6W Solar Panel will automatically begin charging your device when exposed to sufficient sunlight. The panel is designed for continuous power delivery.

• Effective Charging: In good sunlight conditions, the 6W solar panel can deliver more than 5V and 1A, allowing for rapid recharging of your battery-powered devices.
• Voltage Regulation: The panel includes a built-in voltage regulator controller and an anti-reverse charge diode to ensure stable power delivery and prevent power loss to the connected camera.

Maintenance

The Rhorawill 6W Solar Panel is designed for minimal maintenance due to its durable construction.

• Weather Resistance: The panel features an IP65 waterproof rating, making it resistant to rain, snow, and extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 48°C (-4°F to 122°F).
• Cleaning: Periodically inspect the surface of the solar panel for dirt, dust, or debris. Clean the panel gently with a soft, damp cloth to ensure maximum light absorption. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Cable Inspection: Regularly check the charging cable and connectors for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure connections remain secure.

Troubleshooting

If your solar panel is not charging your device effectively, consider the following:

• No Charge:
  • Ensure the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight. Relocate or adjust the panel if it is in a shaded area.
  • Verify that the charging cable is securely connected to both the solar panel and your device.
  • Check if your device is compatible with the solar panel (DC 5V, Micro-USB or USB-C). Refer to the "Compatibility" section.
  • Inspect the cable and connectors for any visible damage.
• Slow Charging:
  • Ensure the solar panel surface is clean and free of dirt, dust, or debris that might obstruct sunlight.
  • Adjust the panel's angle to optimize direct sunlight exposure, especially during different seasons.
  • Cloudy weather or low light conditions will naturally result in slower charging.
• Device Not Recognized:
