Controls and Connectors

Setup
Powering the Unit
The MS-50G+ can be powered by two AA batteries, a USB power source, or an optional AC adapter.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and insert two AA batteries, observing polarity.
- USB Power: Connect a USB cable from the DC 5V port to a USB power adapter or computer.
- AC Adapter: Connect an optional Zoom AD-16 AC adapter to the DC 9V input.
Connecting Your Equipment
- Connect your guitar to the INPUT (MONO/L) jack.
- Connect the OUTPUT (L) jack to your amplifier's input. For stereo effects, connect the OUTPUT (R) jack to a second amplifier or stereo input.
Operating Instructions
Turning On/Off
To turn on the unit, connect a power source. To turn off, disconnect the power source. If using batteries, the unit will power off automatically after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Basic Navigation
The MS-50G+ features a combination of footswitches and rotary knobs for navigation and parameter adjustment.

- Footswitches: Use the 'MEMORY' footswitches to scroll through patches. The 'SCROLL' footswitches allow for quick navigation within menus or effect chains.
- Control Knobs: Rotate the four knobs below the display to adjust parameters shown on the screen. Pressing a knob often confirms a selection or enters a sub-menu.
- MENU Button: Accesses the main menu for system settings, effect library, and patch management.
Selecting and Editing Effects
The MS-50G+ allows you to chain up to six effects simultaneously to create custom patches.

- Select a Patch: Use the 'MEMORY' footswitches to cycle through stored patches.
- Add an Effect: Press the 'ADD' knob to open the effect library. Use the knobs to select an effect category and then an effect.
- Edit Parameters: Once an effect is selected, its parameters will appear on the LCD. Use the control knobs to adjust values.
- Delete an Effect: Select the effect you wish to remove and press the 'DELETE' knob.
- Save a Patch: After editing, press the 'MENU' button, navigate to 'SAVE', and select a memory location to store your custom patch.
Using the Built-in Tuner
The MS-50G+ includes a chromatic tuner that supports various guitar tunings.

To activate the tuner, press and hold the central footswitch labeled 'HOLD > TUNER'. The display will switch to tuner mode, showing the detected note and pitch deviation. Play a single note on your guitar, and adjust until the pitch is centered.
USB Connectivity
The USB port allows for firmware updates and connection to compatible applications for patch management and editing.

Connect the MS-50G+ to a computer using a USB cable. Refer to the Zoom website for information on available software and firmware updates.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace both AA batteries with new ones to ensure optimal performance.
