8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your WONLINK WiFi Extender, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power/LED indicators off | Device not plugged in or power outlet issue. | Ensure the extender is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Try a different outlet. |
| Cannot connect to the extended network | Incorrect Wi-Fi password, extender not configured correctly, or out of range. | Verify the Wi-Fi password. Re-run the setup process (WPS or web browser). Move the extender closer to your main router. |
| Weak signal or slow speed on extended network | Extender placed too far from the router, interference, or too many connected devices. | Relocate the extender to a position halfway between your router and the desired coverage area. Minimize physical obstructions. Reduce the number of active devices. |
| WPS setup failed | Router WPS issue, timing issue, or WPS disabled on router. | Ensure WPS is enabled on your router. Try the WPS process again, ensuring you press buttons within the time limit. If issues persist, use the web browser setup method. |
| Forgot admin password for web interface | Password lost or forgotten. | Perform a factory reset on the extender by pressing and holding the Reset button for 5-10 seconds. This will revert the password to admin. Note: This will erase all configurations. |
