  3. Check for any damage during transit. If the appliance is damaged, do not use it and contact customer support.

Placement:

  • Place the oven on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance. Maintain a minimum clearance of 10-15 cm from walls or other objects on all sides.
  • Do not place the oven near flammable materials such as curtains or paper.
  • Ensure the power cord is not kinked or trapped.

Initial Cleaning:

  • Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the oven with a damp cloth.
  • Wash the grill tray, drip tray, and any other removable accessories in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  • It is normal for a small amount of smoke or odor to be emitted during the first use as manufacturing residues burn off. Operate the oven empty for about 15 minutes at maximum temperature to eliminate this. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

5. Operating Instructions

Using the Oven:

  1. Prepare Food: Place food on the grill tray or in an oven-safe dish.
  2. Insert Food: Open the oven door and carefully place the tray or dish inside. Close the door securely.
  3. Set Temperature: Turn the Temperature Control Knob to the desired cooking temperature.
  4. Select Function: Turn the Function Selector Knob to choose the desired cooking mode (e.g., Bake, Grill, Toast).
  5. Set Timer: Turn the Timer Knob to the desired cooking time. The oven will begin heating, and the indicator light will illuminate. The oven will automatically turn off when the timer reaches zero. For continuous operation, turn the timer past the 'Stay On' mark if available, or to the maximum time and monitor manually.
  6. Monitor Cooking: Observe food through the oven door. Adjust settings if necessary.
  7. Remove Food: Once cooking is complete, turn the timer to 'OFF' (if not already off). Using oven mitts, carefully open the door and remove the cooked food.

Using the Hotplates:

The compact oven features three hotplates on top, each with its own control switch.

  1. Place Cookware: Place appropriate cookware (e.g., pots, pans) on the desired hotplate. Ensure the cookware base is flat and covers the hotplate surface adequately.
  2. Activate Hotplate: Turn the corresponding Hotplate Control Knob to the desired heat setting (e.g., Low, Medium, High). The hotplate indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Adjust Heat: Adjust the knob as needed during cooking.
  4. Turn Off: After cooking, turn the Hotplate Control Knob to the 'OFF' position. The hotplate will remain hot for some time after being turned off.

Note: The oven and hotplates can be used simultaneously, but this may affect the heating efficiency of both functions, especially if operating at maximum power.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and appearance of your compact oven.

Before Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
  • Allow the oven and hotplates to cool completely before cleaning.

Exterior Cleaning:

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  • Ensure no water enters the control panel or electrical components.

Interior Cleaning:

  • Wipe the interior walls and glass door with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive oven cleaner designed for compact ovens can be used, following the product instructions carefully.
  • Remove the grill tray and drip tray for separate cleaning in warm, soapy water.
  • Rinse all cleaned parts thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling or using the oven.

Hotplate Cleaning:

  • Once cooled, wipe the hotplate surfaces with a damp cloth. For burnt-on food, use a non-abrasive scraper or a specialized hotplate cleaner.
  • Do not immerse the hotplates or the entire appliance in water.
