2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate generators outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure proper grounding. Do not touch the generator or connected cords with wet hands. Use only approved extension cords that are rated for outdoor use and the generator's power output.
- Hot Surfaces: The engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent injury.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Overload Protection: Do not overload the generator. Overloading can damage the generator and connected devices. The generator is equipped with overload protection.

5. Setup
Before first use, or after extended storage, proper setup is crucial.
5.1 Unpacking and Assembly
- Carefully remove the generator from its packaging.
- Inspect for any shipping damage. Contact your dealer immediately if damage is found.
- Assemble the wheels and handles if they are not pre-installed, following the instructions in the separate assembly guide (if provided).
5.2 Adding Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the correct amount and type of oil before starting.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick (usually near the engine).
- Remove the cap/dipstick and slowly add recommended engine oil (e.g., SAE 10W-30) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
5.3 Adding Fuel
WARNING: Use fresh, unleaded gasoline only. Do not use E85 or a gasoline/oil mixture. Do not overfill.
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Move the generator to a well-ventilated outdoor area.
- Unscrew the fuel cap.
- Carefully pour gasoline into the fuel tank, using a funnel if necessary, up to the fill limit (do not fill to the very top of the neck).
- Securely replace the fuel cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
5.4 Connecting the Battery (for Electric Start)
If the battery is not pre-connected, connect the positive (+) terminal (red cable) to the positive (+) battery post and the negative (-) terminal (black cable) to the negative (-) battery post. Ensure connections are tight.
5.5 Grounding the Generator
For safety, the generator must be properly grounded. Connect a heavy-gauge copper wire from the generator's grounding terminal to an external grounding rod driven into the earth.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Pre-Start Checklist
- Check engine oil level.
- Check fuel level.
- Ensure all electrical devices are disconnected from the generator outlets.
- Verify the generator is on a level surface and in a well-ventilated outdoor area.
- Confirm proper grounding.
6.2 Starting the Engine (Electric Start)
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if engine is cold).
- Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Press and hold the electric start button (or turn the key) until the engine starts. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds at a time. If it doesn't start, wait 10 seconds before trying again.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
6.3 Starting the Engine (Recoil Start)
- Follow steps 1-3 from Electric Start.
- Grasp the recoil starter handle firmly and pull slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly. Repeat until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
6.4 Connecting Electrical Loads
Allow the engine to run for a few minutes to warm up before connecting any electrical devices.
- Ensure the circuit breaker on the generator is in the "ON" position.
- Plug in your electrical devices or extension cords into the AC outlets.
- Do not exceed the generator's rated wattage (5000W continuous, 5500W max).
6.5 Shutting Down the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
- Allow the engine to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
