Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Grind Size

The J-Ultra features an external adjustment dial for precise control over your grind size. Each click on the dial represents an 8-micron adjustment, allowing for very fine tuning.

  • To adjust, simply rotate the numbered dial at the top of the grinder.
  • Rotate clockwise for a finer grind (smaller numbers).
  • Rotate counter-clockwise for a coarser grind (larger numbers).
  • Refer to the included grind setting guide (if any) for recommended starting points for different brewing methods (e.g., espresso, pour-over, French press).

2. Grinding Coffee

  1. Load Beans: Open the top lid and pour your desired amount of whole coffee beans into the hopper. The J-Ultra has a capacity of approximately 35-40g.
  2. Secure Lid: Close the top lid and ensure the handle is properly attached.
  3. Grind: Hold the grinder firmly with one hand and rotate the handle clockwise with the other. Continue grinding until no resistance is felt, indicating all beans have passed through the burrs.
  4. Collect Grounds: Once grinding is complete, gently twist and remove the magnetic catch cup to access your freshly ground coffee.
