Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

The Donner HUSH X Electric Guitar Kit includes the headless guitar body, upper and lower detachable stands, a gig bag, earphones, a tuner, a 9V battery, two straps, three guitar picks, a cleaning cloth, and a quick start guide. Please ensure all components are present upon unboxing.

2. Stand Assembly

This video demonstrates the correct installation of the upper and lower stands for the Donner HUSH X guitar, ensuring proper stability during use. Note: Make sure the stand is fully inserted prior to use or it may slip out.

The detachable stands easily connect to the guitar body. The lower stand provides support when playing seated, while the upper stand offers ergonomic comfort for various playing positions.

3. Battery Installation

The 9V dry cell battery is housed in a compartment on the back of the guitar. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the battery. This battery provides up to 50 hours of headphone play.

The guitar features an H-S (Humbucker-Single Coil) pickup configuration. Use the 3-way switch to select between neck single coil, neck single coil + bridge humbucker, or bridge humbucker. Adjust the Volume and Tone knobs to shape your sound.

Maintenance

1. Truss Rod Adjustment

The truss rod adjustment point is located under a small cover on the back of the guitar. Use the appropriate Allen wrench to adjust neck relief. Turn clockwise to increase convexity (straighten neck) and anti-clockwise to increase concavity (add relief).

3. String Replacement

Due to the headless design and unique tuning system, string replacement requires specific steps. This video guides you through loosening the string locks, removing old strings, and installing new ones.

Troubleshooting

No Sound / Weak Sound

  • Volume/Tone knobs: Ensure the guitar's volume knob is turned up and the tone knob is not set to zero.

Buzzing / Fret Buzz
