2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

The integrated 1030 Watt-hour lithium battery should be fully charged before first use. The battery is removable for convenient charging.

  1. Remove the battery from the motor unit by unlatching the securing mechanism.
  2. Connect the provided mains charger to the battery's charging port.
  3. Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  4. Monitor the charging indicator lights on the battery or charger (refer to battery display for charge status).
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the battery and the wall outlet.

4.2 Mounting the Outboard

The ULTIMA 3HP Electric Outboard is designed for transom mounting.

  1. Ensure the boat's transom is clean and free of obstructions.
  2. Place the motor's mounting clamps over the transom.
  3. Tighten the clamping screws firmly and evenly until the motor is securely attached and does not wobble.
  4. Adjust the motor's depth and angle as needed for optimal performance. The 76cm long shaft provides flexibility for various transom heights.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the motor, ensure the battery is correctly inserted and secured. The digital display on the motor head will illuminate, showing battery status and power level.

5.2 Speed Control

The ULTIMA 3HP features stepless speed control for precise maneuverability. Rotate the telescopic handle to adjust the speed. Forward and reverse directions are controlled by the handle's rotation.

  • Rotate the handle clockwise for forward thrust.
  • Rotate the handle counter-clockwise for reverse thrust.
  • The further the handle is rotated, the higher the speed.

The Digimax controller and brushless motor optimize power delivery, maximizing running time and battery efficiency.

5.3 Steering

Steer the boat by rotating the entire motor unit using the tiller handle. The motor can be rotated 360 degrees for full directional control.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Haswing ULTIMA outboard motor.

  • After Each Use:
    • Rinse the motor shaft and propeller with fresh water, especially after use in saltwater, to prevent corrosion.
    • Inspect the propeller for any fishing line, debris, or damage. Remove any obstructions carefully.
    • Wipe down the motor head and battery compartment with a damp cloth. Ensure all connections are dry before storage.
  • Battery Care:
    • Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures.
    • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-60% capacity. Do not store fully discharged or fully charged for extended periods.
    • Recharge the battery every 3-6 months during long-term storage to maintain its health.
  • Propeller Replacement:
