3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Te-Rich Sunrise Simulation Alarm Clock unit, a USB power cable, and the user manual. Inspect the device for any signs of damage.

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the small end of the USB power cable to the power input port on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Plug the larger end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port (e.g., computer, power bank).
  3. Plug the USB power adapter into a wall outlet. The display will light up, indicating the device is powered on.

3.3 Battery Installation (Backup)

The alarm clock includes a CR2032 button cell battery for backup purposes. This battery retains time and alarm settings during power interruptions but does not power the main functions of the clock.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the alarm clock.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.4 Initial Time Setting

Upon first power-up or after a prolonged power loss without battery backup, you may need to set the current time.

  1. Press the TIME button (usually located on the front panel). The hour digits will start flashing.
  2. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press the TIME button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
  4. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the minute.
  5. Press the TIME button one more time to confirm the minute and exit time setting mode.
  6. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format, press and hold the TIME button for a few seconds during time setting.

4. Operation

4.1 Setting Alarms

The alarm clock supports two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).

  1. Press the ALARM1 or ALARM2 button. The alarm time digits will flash.
  2. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired alarm hour.
  3. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button again to move to minute setting. Use +/- to set the minute.
  4. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button again to select the alarm sound. Use +/- to cycle through the 7 available sounds.
  5. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button again to set the alarm volume (U01-U10). Use +/- to adjust.
  6. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button again to set the sunrise simulation duration (0-60 minutes). Use +/- to adjust.
  7. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button again to select the alarm mode: 7 days (Mon-Sun), 5 days (Mon-Fri), or 2 days (Sat-Sun). Use +/- to select.
  8. Press the ALARM1/ALARM2 button one more time to confirm settings and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
  9. To deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM1/ALARM2 button until the alarm icon disappears.

4.2 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large button on the top of the alarm clock to activate the 9-minute snooze function. The alarm will sound again after 9 minutes. This can be repeated multiple times.

4.3 Night Light / Color Changing Light

  1. To turn on the night light, press the Light Bulb button (usually next to +/-).
  2. Press the Light Bulb button repeatedly to cycle through the 7 solid colors and 2 dynamic color modes.
  3. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the brightness level (L01-L10) of the current light color.
  4. To turn off the night light, press the Light Bulb button until the light turns off.

4.4 Display Brightness

To adjust the brightness of the LED time display:

  1. Press the DIMMER button (usually located near the TIME button).
  2. Each press will cycle through brightness levels: 100% > 50% > 5% > OFF.
  3. Select the desired brightness level.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Before cleaning, ensure the alarm clock is unplugged from the power source.
  • Wipe the surface of the device with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these may damage the surface.
  • Avoid getting moisture into any openings or ports.

5.2 Battery Replacement (CR2032)

The CR2032 backup battery typically lasts for a long period. If you notice that time and settings are not retained after a power outage, it may be time to replace the battery.

  1. Unplug the alarm clock from the main power supply.
  2. Locate and open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
  3. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  4. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  6. Dispose of the old battery according to local regulations.

5.3 Storage

If storing the device for an extended period, unplug it from the power source and remove the CR2032 backup battery. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
