2.1 Initial Inspection
Upon unpacking, carefully inspect all components for any signs of damage. Ensure all parts listed in the packaging are present. Familiarize yourself with the rifle's components as illustrated in this manual.
2.2 Scope Mounting
The 4x32 scope is provided with appropriate mounts. Attach the scope to the rifle's dovetail rail, ensuring it is securely fastened. Adjust the eye relief for comfortable viewing. It is recommended to use a level to ensure the scope's reticle is perfectly horizontal before tightening the rings.

2.3 Loading Pellets
This air rifle uses .177 caliber pellets. To load, ensure the safety is engaged. Break the barrel downwards firmly until the spring-piston mechanism cocks and locks into place. 3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Safety First
Always handle the air rifle with extreme caution. Treat every air rifle as if it were loaded. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
3.2 Cocking and Loading
As described in the setup section, cock the rifle by breaking the barrel downwards until it latches. Load one .177 caliber pellet into the breech. Close the barrel securely.
3.3 Engaging/Disengaging Safety
The Gamo Varmint Air Rifle features a manual safety. To engage the safety, push the safety lever to the 'SAFE' position. To disengage, push the lever to the 'FIRE' position. Always keep the safety engaged until you are ready to fire.
3.4 Firing the Air Rifle
Once the rifle is cocked, loaded, and the safety is disengaged, aim at your target. Maintain a stable shooting position. Gently squeeze the trigger to fire. After firing, the rifle will need to be re-cocked and re-loaded for the next shot.

4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Gamo Varmint Air Rifle.
4.1 Barrel Cleaning
Clean the barrel periodically, especially after extended use or if accuracy decreases. Use a .177 caliber cleaning kit with appropriate cleaning patches and bore cleaner. Clean from the breech end if possible, pushing the cleaning rod through the barrel and out the muzzle. Never clean from the muzzle end as this can damage the rifling.
4.2 Lubrication
Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the pivot points and moving parts of the rifle as needed. Avoid over-lubrication, especially near the breech, as this can affect pellet velocity and accuracy.
4.3 Storage
Store the air rifle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is unloaded and the safety is engaged before storage. Keep it out of reach of children and unauthorized individuals.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Decreased Accuracy | Dirty barrel, loose scope, inconsistent pellets, damaged rifling. | Clean barrel, check scope mounts, try different pellets, inspect barrel for damage. |
| Difficulty Cocking | Insufficient force, mechanism obstruction. | Apply firm, consistent downward pressure on the barrel. Check for any foreign objects in the mechanism. |
| Pellet Not Firing | Not cocked, safety engaged, faulty pellet. | Ensure rifle is fully cocked, disengage safety, try a new pellet. |
