Product Overview

The Jectse Kids Smartwatch features a 1.44-inch HD color touchscreen, 2G GSM connectivity, IP67 waterproofing, and a built-in camera. It supports two-way voice calls, SOS alerts, LBS location tracking, and includes various educational and entertainment functions.

Setup

1. SIM Card Installation

The smartwatch requires a Micro SIM card (not included) to enable communication features. Ensure the SIM card supports 2G GSM network frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz).

1. Power off the smartwatch completely.
2. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the watch.
3. Use the provided mini screwdriver to open the SIM card tray cover.
4. Carefully insert the Micro SIM card into the slot with the metal contacts facing up, ensuring it is correctly oriented.
5. Close the SIM card tray cover and secure it with the screw.

2. Charging the Smartwatch

Before first use, fully charge the smartwatch. Use the provided USB charging cable.

1. Connect the magnetic end of the charging cable to the charging contacts on the back of the smartwatch.
2. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator will appear on the screen. A full charge typically takes about 1.5 hours.

3. App Pairing (for Parental Control)

To utilize features like LBS tracking, remote monitoring, and classroom mode, parents need to download and install the companion app on their smartphone. Refer to the quick start guide or packaging for the app name and QR code.

1. Download the designated app from your smartphone's app store.
2. Register an account and log in.
3. Scan the QR code displayed on the smartwatch (usually found in the watch's settings or by swiping down from the home screen) to bind the device to your account.
4. Follow the in-app instructions to set up emergency contacts, safe zones, and other parental control features.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually on the side) for a few seconds until the screen lights up.
• Power Off: Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' on the screen. Alternatively, parents can remotely power off the watch via the companion app.

Basic Navigation

The smartwatch features a touch screen for easy interaction.

• Swipe Left/Right: Navigate between different app screens.
• Tap: Select an icon or option.
• Swipe Down: Access quick settings or notifications.

Making and Receiving Calls

Once a SIM card is installed and contacts are set up via the app, the child can make and receive calls.

• To Make a Call: Tap the 'Phone' icon, select a contact from the address book, and tap the call button.
• To Receive a Call: When a call comes in, tap the green 'Answer' icon to accept or the red 'Decline' icon to reject.

SOS Function

In an emergency, the child can activate the SOS function.

• Activate SOS: Press and hold the SOS button (usually a dedicated button or the power button) for a few seconds. The watch will automatically dial the pre-set emergency contacts in a loop until one answers.

Camera Usage

The built-in camera allows children to capture photos and videos.

• Open Camera: Tap the 'Camera' icon on the watch screen.
• Take Photo/Record Video: Tap the shutter button to take a photo or switch to video mode and tap to start/stop recording.

Two-Way Voice Call

Note: It is not suitable for swimming or prolonged water immersion.

Selfie Camera & Video Recorder

Classroom Mode

Parents can activate 'Classroom Mode' via the companion app. During pre-set school hours, the watch will disable notifications and most functions, allowing the child to focus on their studies without distractions. Essential functions like SOS calls remain active.

Real-time LBS Location Tracking

Utilizing LBS (Location Based Service) technology, parents can track their child's real-time location indoors and outdoors through the smartphone app. The app also supports location history recording and setting up electronic fences (geofencing), which alert parents if the child enters or exits a defined safe zone.

Intelligent Power Saving

Maintenance

• Water Resistance: The watch is IP67 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and brief immersion in shallow water. Do not submerge it for extended periods, use it for swimming, or expose it to hot water or steam. Ensure the SIM card slot cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
• Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the watch regularly. Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
• Storage: When not in use for a long time, store the watch in a cool, dry place and charge it periodically to prevent deep discharge.

Troubleshooting

Watch Not Turning On

• Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
• Try pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds.

No Network Signal / Cannot Make Calls

• Check if the Micro SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
• Verify that the SIM card supports 2G GSM networks.
• Ensure there is sufficient balance or an active plan on the SIM card.
• Check network coverage in your area.

Inaccurate LBS Location

• LBS positioning relies on cellular tower signals, which can be less precise than GPS, especially indoors or in areas with limited tower density.
• Ensure the watch has a stable 2G network connection.

App Cannot Bind Watch

• Ensure the watch is powered on and has a network connection.
• Verify that you are scanning the correct QR code (usually the registration code, not the device ID).
• Check your smartphone's internet connection.
