- Ensure all walkie talkies intended for communication are set to the same channel and privacy code.
3. Transmitting and Receiving
- To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the PTT button to receive messages.
4. One-key Decoding Copy Frequency
This feature allows your F3 walkie talkie to wirelessly copy the transmission frequency and privacy code from another U-frequency walkie-talkie.
- Place the F3 walkie talkie near the walkie talkie you wish to copy from.
- Activate the One-key Decoding Copy function (refer to your specific model's side key programming if applicable, or consult the quick start guide).

5. One-touch Alarm
The side key can be customized as an alarm function switch using the programming tool.
- Press the customized side key to activate the alarm.
- All radios on the same frequency will emit an alarm sound, providing a quick alert in emergency situations.
- Press the key again to deactivate the alarm.
6. One-touch Scrambling
The side key can also be customized as a scrambler function switch using the programming tool.
- Press the customized side key to toggle the scrambler function on or off.
- When activated, your transmission will be scrambled, preventing unauthorized third-party monitoring. If the receiving party does not have scrambling activated, they will hear distorted audio.
7. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange)
VOX allows for hands-free transmission. When VOX is enabled, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.
- VOX sensitivity can typically be adjusted (e.g., 9 levels) via programming software to suit your environment and voice level.
- Refer to the programming guide for detailed VOX setup.
