4. Setup and First Use

Before using your coffee maker for the first time, it is recommended to wash all parts with warm water without detergent. Brew coffee 2-3 times and discard the coffee to season the pot and remove any manufacturing residues.

Assembly:

  1. Unscrew the top chamber from the bottom chamber.
  2. Remove the filter funnel from the bottom chamber.
  3. Fill the bottom chamber with cold water up to the level of the safety valve. Do not exceed this level.
  4. Insert the filter funnel into the bottom chamber.
  5. Fill the filter funnel with medium-fine ground coffee. Do not tamp the coffee. Level the grounds gently.
  6. Screw the top chamber firmly onto the bottom chamber. Ensure a tight seal to prevent steam leakage.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Place the assembled coffee maker on a stovetop over a medium heat source. Ensure the flame or heating element does not extend beyond the base of the coffee maker to protect the handle.
  2. As the water in the bottom chamber heats, pressure will build, forcing hot water up through the coffee grounds in the filter funnel.
  3. The brewed coffee will then rise into the top chamber.
  4. Listen for a gurgling sound, which indicates that the brewing process is complete and all the water has passed through the coffee.
  5. Immediately remove the coffee maker from the heat source to prevent the coffee from burning or becoming bitter.
  6. Pour and enjoy your fresh espresso.
