Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the kettle's performance and extends its lifespan.
General Cleaning:
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- The interior of the kettle can be cleaned with a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Do not immerse the kettle or its power base in water or any other liquid.
Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descaling is recommended periodically.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution.
- Boil the mixture and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer if the limescale is heavy.
- Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue and odor.
- For stubborn deposits, gently scrub the interior with a non-abrasive sponge.
