5. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating the battery isolator switch. Failure to do so may result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
- Always disconnect the negative battery terminal first before working on any electrical system.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and insulated gloves.
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the parking brake is engaged.
- Verify that the switch's current rating is suitable for your application.
- Avoid short circuits. The removable back cover helps insulate rear connections, but proper installation is crucial.
- Do not install in areas exposed to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures beyond the product's operating limits.
- If you are unsure about any part of the installation process, consult a qualified professional.
6. Setup and Installation
The Greluma battery isolator switch is designed for surface mounting. Follow these general steps for installation:
- Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's electrical system is completely de-energized. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable first, then the positive (+) cable.
- Choose Mounting Location: Select a dry, accessible, and secure location for the switch. Refer to the dimensional drawing (Figure 4.1) for mounting hole requirements.
- Mount the Switch: Secure the switch firmly to the chosen surface using appropriate fasteners (not included).
- Wiring:
- Identify the battery positive (+) cable that you wish to interrupt.
- Cut the cable and strip the ends.
- Crimp the supplied copper ring terminals onto the stripped cable ends. Ensure a secure connection.
- Apply heat shrink tubes over the crimped connections for insulation and protection.
- Connect one end of the interrupted cable to the "IN" terminal of the switch and the other end to the "OUT" terminal. Ensure connections are tight and secure.
- Reconnect Battery: Once the switch is securely wired, reconnect the positive (+) battery cable first, then the negative (-) battery cable.
- Test Functionality: Turn the switch to the "ON" position and verify that power is restored to the vehicle's electrical system.

7. Operation
The Greluma battery isolator switch features a simple ON/OFF operation.
- ON Position: Rotate the red knob to the "ON" position (indicated by the arrow pointing towards "ON"). In this position, the battery circuit is closed, and power is supplied to the vehicle's electrical system.
- OFF Position: Rotate the red knob to the "OFF" position (indicated by the arrow pointing towards "OFF"). In this position, the battery circuit is open, and power is disconnected from the vehicle's electrical system. This is recommended for long-term storage or maintenance to prevent battery drain and enhance safety.
