  • Photo Button: Press to capture still images.
  • On/Off Button: Powers the camera on or off.
  • Dials: Used for navigating menus and adjusting settings.
  • Flash Pop-up Button: Activates the built-in flash (if applicable).

Mode Dial Functions

The mode dial allows you to quickly switch between various shooting modes:

  • Slow Motion Mode: Records video at a higher frame rate for slow-motion playback.
  • Auto Photo Mode: Camera automatically adjusts settings for optimal photo capture.
  • Video Mode: For standard video recording.
  • Burst Photo Mode: Captures multiple photos in quick succession.
  • Lapse Mode: For creating time-lapse videos.
  • Video+Photo Mode: Allows capturing still images while recording video.
  • Loop Mode: Records video in a continuous loop, overwriting older footage.
  • Timer Photo Mode: Sets a delay before taking a photo.
  • Photo Mode: For standard still image capture.

Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

The camera uses a Lithium Ion battery (SX-90/3000mAh). Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the battery according to the polarity indicators.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Connect the camera to the charger using the provided USB Type-C cable.
  5. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  6. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours. The indicator will change or turn off when charging is complete.

2. SD Card Installation

The camera supports SD cards up to 32GB. A 32GB SD card is included with your purchase.

  1. Locate the SD card slot, usually on the side or bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing the correct direction (refer to the diagram near the slot).
  3. Push the card gently until it clicks into place.
  4. To remove, push the card in again until it springs out slightly, then pull it out.

3. Initial Power On

After installing the battery and SD card, press and hold the On/Off button to power on the camera. The LCD screen will illuminate.

Operating the Camera

Basic Photography and Video Recording

The UIKICON W05 camera supports 64MP still images and 4K (2160p) video recording at 24, 25, or 30 frames per second. The total still resolution is 64 MP.

  • Photo Mode: Turn the mode dial to 'Photo Mode' for standard still photography. Press the Photo Button to capture.
  • Auto Photo Mode: For automatic settings adjustment, select 'Auto Photo Mode' on the dial.
  • Video Mode: Select 'Video Mode' on the dial to record videos. Press the Photo Button to start/stop recording. The camera has a recording capacity of approximately 157 minutes.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Connect your camera to a smartphone via Wi-Fi for easy photo/video transfer and remote control.

  1. On the camera, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Scan the QR code displayed on the camera screen or search for the 'IDC CAM' app on Google Play or Apple App Store.
  3. Follow the app instructions to connect your device to the camera's Wi-Fi network.

Webcam Function

The UIKICON W05 can be used as a webcam, ideal for live streaming or video calls.

  1. Connect the camera to your computer using the USB Type-C cable.
  2. Select 'Webcam Mode' on the camera's screen (if prompted).
  3. Your computer should recognize the camera as a webcam. Select it in your video conferencing or streaming software.

Charging While Recording

The UIKICON W05 camera supports charging while recording, allowing for extended shooting sessions without interruption. Simply connect the camera to a power source using the USB Type-C cable while it is in operation.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your camera.

  • Cleaning the Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a lens brush or a blower to remove dust. For smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Never touch the lens surface with your fingers.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. If not using the camera for an extended period, remove the battery. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its camera bag. Avoid extreme temperatures and high humidity.
