1. Introduction

This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the operation and maintenance of your JOVELL HD Blu-ray Player. 3. Product Features

  • Region Compatibility: Supports Blu-ray discs from Region A/1 only. All non-Blu-ray DVD discs are region-free (including region codes 1-6).

4. Setup and Connections

Follow these steps to connect your Blu-ray player to your television or audio system.

4.1 Connecting to a TV via HDMI (Recommended for Blu-ray)

  1. Ensure both the Blu-ray player and your TV are powered off.
  2. Connect one end of the included HDMI cable to the HDMI Output port on the back of the Blu-ray player.
  3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI input port on your TV.
  4. Power on your TV and select the corresponding HDMI input source.
  5. Power on the Blu-ray player.

4.2 Connecting to a TV via AV (RCA) Cables

This connection method is suitable for older TVs. Note that Blu-ray videos are not supported via AV connection.

  1. Ensure both the Blu-ray player and your TV are powered off.
  2. Connect the included AV cable to the corresponding color-coded ports on the back of the Blu-ray player:
    • Yellow to Video Output
    • White to Audio Left Output
    • Red to Audio Right Output
  3. Connect the other end of the AV cable to the matching color-coded input ports on your TV.
  4. Power on your TV and select the corresponding AV input source.
  5. Power on the Blu-ray player.

4.3 Connecting to an Audio System via Coaxial Output

For enhanced audio, connect the player to an external audio system (e.g., amplifier) using a coaxial cable (not included).

  1. Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the Coaxial Digital Output port on the back of the Blu-ray player.
  2. Connect the other end to the coaxial digital input on your audio receiver or amplifier.
  3. Ensure your audio system is set to the correct input source.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Playback

  1. Ensure the player is connected to your TV and powered on.
  2. Press the Open/Close button on the player or remote control to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a compatible disc (Blu-ray, DVD, CD) onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  4. Press the Open/Close button again to close the disc tray.
  5. The player will automatically begin reading the disc. Playback should start shortly.
  6. Use the remote control for functions such as Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, and Skip Track/Chapter.

5.2 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Input port on the front of the player.
  2. The player should automatically detect the USB device and display its contents. If not, press the Media button on the remote to switch to USB mode.
  3. Navigate through your files using the arrow keys on the remote control.
  4. Press Play to start playback of selected video, audio, or image files.

6.1 Disc Formats

  • Disc Care: Handle discs by their edges. Keep discs clean and free of dust, fingerprints, and scratches. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe discs from the center outwards.
