1. Introduction

The SDRGEEK ATS-25 max-DECODER is a versatile full-band radio receiver designed for enthusiasts. It features a 2.4-inch touchscreen, multiple reception modes including FM, AM, LW, MW, SW, and SSB, and a built-in 3000mAh lithium battery. 2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • ATS-25 max-DECODER Radio Receiver
  • Type-C USB Charging Cable
  • Telescopic Antenna
  • User Manual (this document)

2.2 Charging the Battery

The device is equipped with a built-in 3.7V / 3000mAh lithium battery. Before initial use, fully charge the receiver.

  1. Connect the Type-C USB charging cable to the receiver's Type-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours. The maximum charging current is 1.5A.

2.3 Antenna Connection

For optimal reception, connect an appropriate antenna.

  • BNC Antenna Interface: Use this interface for connecting external shortwave (SW) antennas.
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack FM Antenna: The 3.5mm audio jack also supports an FM antenna for improved FM reception.

2.4 Powering On/Off

Locate the power button on the device. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the receiver on or off.

3.1 User Interface

The ATS-25 max-DECODER features a 2.4-inch touchscreen for navigation and control. You can also use the numeric keypad to directly input frequencies.

  • Broadcast Search: The receiver supports a broadcast search function to find active stations within a selected band.
  • Bandwidth Adjustment: Adjust the AM bandwidth from 1-6K and SSB bandwidth from 0.5-4.0K for optimal audio clarity.

3.5 WiFi Functionality

The version 4.15 ATS-25 max-DECODER includes a built-in WiFi function that allows direct internet connection without requiring an external application. The WiFi icon will appear on the screen when connected.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the receiver, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the device's finish or internal components.

4.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the receiver in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to preserve battery health.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ATS-25 max-DECODER, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the receiver to a power source using the Type-C cable.
    • Verify the power button is pressed and held sufficiently to power on the device.
