Introduction
The KZ Castor In-Ear Monitor Headphones feature an innovative dual-dynamic driver acoustic design, optimized for the Harman FR curve sound. The top and bottom stacked cavity structure provides enhanced space for sound vibration, ensuring phenomenal acoustics. Two versions are available: a standard Harman Target version and a black version with improved bass.
Crafted with an integrated injection molding process, the internal support structure achieves a precision of approximately 0.01mm, significantly surpassing traditional 3D printing technology. The alloy face cap contributes to a classical and elegant design with a smooth texture.

Setup
Connecting the Cable
The KZ Castor headphones feature a 2PIN-C detachable cable design with thickened, high-durability pins. To connect the cable, align the pins on the cable with the corresponding ports on each earbud. Gently push until a secure connection is established. Ensure the correct left (L) and right (R) earbud is connected to the respective cable side.

Wearing the Earbuds
For optimal sound and comfort, insert the earbud into your ear canal and gently twist to ensure a snug fit. The cable is designed to loop over the top of your ear, providing stability and reducing microphonics. Adjust the ear hook for a comfortable and secure fit.

Operating
Tuning Adjustment
The KZ Castor earbuds are equipped with professional acoustic filters that support 2-stage adjustments for higher frequencies. Users can fine-tune their sound preferences using the built-in switches to create up to 16 different audio profiles. A small tool (similar to a SIM ejector pin) is provided to adjust these switches.

Refer to the included "Castor Tuning Instructions" manual for specific switch combinations and their effects on low, mid, and high frequencies. Experiment with different settings to find your preferred sound profile.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Earbuds and Eartips
Regular cleaning helps maintain sound quality and hygiene. Gently wipe the earbuds with a soft, dry cloth. Remove the silicone eartips and clean them with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching them to the earbuds.
Cable Care
Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cable to prevent damage. When not in use, coil the cable loosely to prevent tangling. The detachable design allows for easy replacement if the cable becomes damaged.
Troubleshooting
No Sound or Intermittent Audio
- Ensure the 2PIN-C cable is securely connected to both earbuds and the 3.5mm jack is fully inserted into your audio device.
- Check the volume level on your audio device.
- Test with a different audio source or device to rule out device-specific issues.
- Inspect the cable for any visible damage. If damaged, consider replacing the detachable cable.
Poor Sound Quality
- Ensure the eartips are properly seated in your ear canal to create a good seal. Try different sized eartips for a better fit.
- Check the tuning switch settings on the earbuds. Adjust them according to your preference or reset to a neutral setting.
- Clean the eartips and earbud nozzles to remove any debris that might be obstructing sound.
