4. Operating Instructions
- Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark indicated on the water level indicator. Ensure the lid is securely closed after filling.
- Place on Power Base: Place the kettle firmly onto its power base.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.
- Switch On: Press the ON/OFF switch (usually located near the handle) downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
- Boiling: The kettle will begin to heat the water.
- Automatic Shut-Off: Once the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Exercise caution as the kettle body and steam can be very hot.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil, wait a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the switch again.
Boil-Dry Protection
The kettle is equipped with a boil-dry protection feature. If the kettle is accidentally switched on without sufficient water, it will automatically turn off to prevent damage. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool down for several minutes before refilling with water and operating again.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- The interior stainless steel can be cleaned with a soft brush or sponge if needed.
Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside your kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or bi-monthly depending on water hardness).
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Allow the solution to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer if scale is heavy.
- Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- Boil fresh water in the kettle and discard it 2-3 times to remove any residual vinegar or descaling solution taste.
6. Troubleshooting
- Kettle does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
- Check if the kettle is properly seated on its power base.
- Verify that the ON/OFF switch is pressed down.
- If the kettle recently boiled dry, allow it to cool down before attempting to use it again.
- Water is not boiling:
- Ensure the kettle is filled above the MIN level and below the MAX level.
- Check if the lid is securely closed.
- If the kettle has significant limescale buildup, descaling may improve performance.
- Kettle switches off before boiling:
- This could indicate excessive limescale buildup. Descale the kettle.
- Ensure the kettle is not overfilled.
