4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to properly assemble your Gisam DJ-8 Mini Chainsaw.
4.1 Chain and Guide Plate Installation
- Remove Cover Plate: Turn the cover plate counterclockwise to remove it from the chainsaw body.
- Install Chain and Guide Plate: Carefully place the saw chain around the guide plate. Ensure the small blade (cutting edge) is always positioned at the front, in the direction of the chain's rotation. Then, align the guide plate and chain with the chainsaw's drive sprocket.
- Tighten Chain: Locate the small silver knob. Turn this knob downward to tighten the chain. The chain should have a slight elasticity of 1-3mm when pulled from the guide bar. Do not overtighten.
- Secure Cover Plate: Reinstall the cover plate and turn it clockwise to secure it firmly in place.

4.2 Battery Installation
Insert a charged 4Ah battery into the battery slot on the chainsaw handle until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely seated before operation.

5.1 Lubrication
