Setup and Assembly
Your GYI office chair comes with all necessary components and tools for assembly. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the included manual. Assembly typically takes about 30-40 minutes for one person.

Operating Instructions
Adjusting Chair Height:
Locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. Pull the lever upwards while applying or releasing weight to adjust the chair to your desired height. Release the lever to lock the height.
Reclining Function:
To recline the backrest, pull the lever on the left side, beneath the seat, upwards. Lean back to the desired angle (up to 160 degrees). Release the lever to lock the backrest in place. To return to an upright position, pull the lever again and lean forward.
Using the Retractable Footrest:
The footrest is stored beneath the seat. Pull it outwards until fully extended. Flip the padded section upwards to create a comfortable footrest. To retract, flip the padded section down and push the footrest back under the seat.

Maintenance
Cleaning:
Wipe the chair's surface with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the material.
General Care:
Regularly check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary. Avoid exposing the chair to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this may cause the material to fade or crack.
Troubleshooting
Chair Sinks or Does Not Adjust Height:
Check the gas lift cylinder. Ensure it is properly seated in the base and the mechanism is not obstructed. If the issue persists, the gas lift may need replacement.
Chair Wobbles:
Ensure all assembly screws are securely tightened, especially those connecting the seat to the base and the armrests. Verify that the caster wheels are fully inserted into the base.
Footrest Does Not Extend/Retract Smoothly:
Check for any obstructions in the footrest's sliding mechanism. Ensure the tracks are clean and free of debris. A small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied if needed.
