4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

  • To power off the device, press and hold the Power button for approximately 2 seconds. The device will also automatically power off after 3 minutes of inactivity.

5.3 Taking Measurements

  1. Select the appropriate material mode using the MODE button.
  2. Place the back of the meter flat against the surface of the material you wish to measure. Ensure full contact between the sensor area and the surface.
  3. The moisture content will be displayed on the LCD screen.

The EWM04 provides clear visual and audible indications of moisture levels:

5.5 Data Hold Function

Press the HOLD button to freeze the current measurement on the display. Press it again to release the hold and resume live measurements.
