1. Introduction

The ALABS Fxcaster Podcast Equipment Bundle is an integrated audio solution designed for live streaming, recording, and content creation. 2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present, including the Fxcaster mixer, XLR microphone, microphone stand, pop filter, and any included cables (USB-C, XLR, 1/4-inch TS, 1/8-inch TRRS). A TF card is also included for custom sound effects.

2.2 Microphone Connection

  1. Attach the 25mm large capsule condenser microphone to the boom arm and secure it.
  2. Connect the XLR cable from the microphone to one of the XLR inputs (IN 1 or IN 2) on the Fxcaster mixer.
  3. Ensure 48V phantom power is activated on the Fxcaster for the condenser microphone to function correctly. This is typically indicated by an LED light near the 48V switch.

2.3 Connecting Other Devices

  • Instruments: Use 1/4-inch TS cables to connect guitars, basses, or other instruments to the 1/4-inch inputs on the Fxcaster.

The Fxcaster is equipped with 7 individual audio channels, each with a dedicated fader for precise volume control. The onboard color LED display provides visual monitoring of peak levels. The mixer features 32 customizable sound pads. By inserting a TF card, you can load and customize your frequently used sound effects. The device also allows recording effects directly from the unit to pads A, B, and C. Each sound pad supports real-time recording of up to 20 seconds. An independent sample control lever allows for volume adjustment of played samples.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surface of the mixer and microphone. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the components.
  • Storage: Store the equipment in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive dust.
  • Battery Care: For the built-in lithium battery, avoid fully discharging it frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% to maintain its health.
  • Cable Management: Handle cables carefully. Avoid sharp bends or kinks that can damage internal wiring. Disconnect cables by pulling the plug, not the cable itself.
