Setup

1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment latch. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
2. Mounting the Laser Level: The laser level features a 1/4"-20 threaded mount on its base.
   • Tripod Mounting: Attach the laser level to the included tripod using the quick-release plate. Ensure it is securely fastened.
   • Positioning: Place the tripod on a stable, level surface. Adjust the tripod legs and rotary lifting rocker to achieve the desired height and initial position.

Operating Modes

The PREXISO laser level offers two primary operating modes: Self-Leveling Mode and Manual Mode.

1. Self-Leveling Mode

1. Slide the Lock/Unlock switch to the "UNLOCK" side.
2. The laser level will automatically attempt to self-level.
3. If the device is within ±4° of horizontal, the laser lines will become steady, indicating it is level.
4. If the device is tilted more than 4°, the laser lines will blink continuously as an alarm, indicating it cannot self-level. Adjust the device's position until the blinking stops.
5. Press the Power Mode Button to cycle through horizontal, vertical, or cross line projections.

2. Manual Mode

1. Slide the Lock/Unlock switch to the "LOCK" side. This disables the self-leveling feature.
2. Press and hold the Power Mode Button for 3 seconds to turn on the laser.
3. The laser lines will project at the angle the device is positioned, allowing for angled line projections.
4. Short press the Power Mode Button to switch between horizontal, vertical, or cross line projections.
5. To turn off the laser in Manual Mode, press and hold the Power Mode Button for 3 seconds.

Accessories

Green Glasses

The included green glasses are designed to enhance the visibility of the green laser lines, especially in bright lighting conditions. They are adjustable for comfort. Note: These glasses do not provide protection against direct laser exposure.

Target Plate

The green target plate helps to increase the visibility of the laser line and provides a surface for precise marking or measurement, particularly over longer distances or in challenging lighting.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the laser level and its accessories in the portable carry bag in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight.
• Battery Removal: If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
• Calibration Check: Periodically check the accuracy of the laser level. Refer to the specifications for accuracy tolerances.

Troubleshooting

Laser lines are blinking continuously in Self-Leveling Mode.

The device is tilted beyond its self-leveling range (±4°). Adjust the position of the laser level or tripod until it is within the acceptable range. The blinking will stop when it successfully self-levels.

Laser lines are dim or not visible.

• Check battery levels and replace if necessary.
• Ensure the laser aperture is clean and unobstructed.
• Use the included green glasses and target plate to enhance visibility, especially in bright environments.

Laser level does not turn on.

• Verify that batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
• Ensure the Lock/Unlock switch is in the correct position for the desired operating mode (UNLOCK for self-leveling, LOCK then hold power button for manual).
