  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially when using cooking equipment or heaters inside the tent, to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
  • Weather Conditions: While the tent offers water repellency and UV protection, avoid setting it up under trees with falling branches or in areas prone to flash floods. In strong winds, ensure all guy ropes are securely fastened and pegs are firmly in the ground.
  • Children: Do not leave children unattended inside or near the tent.

Follow these steps for a quick and secure setup of your tunnel tent:

  1. Choose a Location: Select a flat, dry area free from sharp objects. Clear any debris.
  2. Unpack: Remove the tent and all components from the carry bag. Lay the tent fabric flat on the ground.
  3. Assemble Poles: Connect the fiberglass pole sections. The tent includes four stable and flexible fiberglass poles.
  4. Insert Poles: Slide the assembled poles through the fabric sleeves of the tent.
  5. Raise the Tent: With assistance, carefully lift the tent structure. Bend the poles to form the tunnel shape.
  6. Secure the Base: Peg down the four corners of the tent base first, then proceed to peg down the remaining base points.
  7. Attach Guy Ropes: Extend the guy ropes outwards from the tent and secure them with pegs. Adjust tension to ensure stability.
  8. Inner Tent/Sleeping Area: The central part of the tent forms the sleeping area, which has a large zippered closure and an integrated groundsheet. Ensure this area is properly zipped and secured.
  9. Windows and Doors: Close all zippers on doors and windows. The tent features four lockable windows with mosquito nets and waterproof zippers.

5. Operating Instructions (Usage)

  • Entry and Exit: The tent features two main entrances that can be easily opened with zippers and rolled up to the side for convenient access.
  • Ventilation: Utilize the four windows with integrated mosquito nets to ensure excellent ventilation and keep insects out. Open or close them as needed for comfort.
  • Porch Area: The wide porch area at the entrance provides additional space for gear storage, cooking, or relaxing out of direct sun or light rain.
  • Sleeping Area: The central sleeping compartment offers privacy and protection, with a zippered closure and a sewn-in groundsheet.
  • Weather Protection: The tent's resistant canvas with a waterproof coating and UV protection 50+ provides shelter from sun and rain. Ensure all zippers are closed during rain.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the tent with a soft brush or sponge and mild soap. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive materials. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mold and mildew growth. Air dry in a shaded area.
  • Storage: Store the tent in its carry bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Pole Care: Inspect fiberglass poles for cracks or damage before and after each use. Replace damaged sections as needed.
  • Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and free of dirt. Lubricate with a silicone-based spray if they become stiff.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Water Leakage: Check all seams for proper sealing. Ensure the tent is pitched tautly to allow water to run off. Verify that all zippers are fully closed. The tent has protective sealing tape on all seams.
  • Tent Instability: Ensure all pegs are firmly driven into the ground and all guy ropes are properly tensioned and secured. Adjust as necessary.
  • Difficulty with Poles: If poles are difficult to insert, ensure they are fully assembled and not bent. Do not force them.
  • Condensation: Condensation can occur due to temperature differences. Ensure adequate ventilation by opening windows or doors slightly.
