  2. Remove Water Pumping Unit: Gently pull out the water pumping unit from the pitcher. Place a water container below it to catch any drips.
  3. Remove Old Filter: Locate the old filter within the pumping unit. Pinch the buckles on both sides of the filter and pull it inwards to release and remove it.
  4. Insert New Filter: Align the buckles of the new Waterdrop WD-EDFA filter with the corresponding notches in the water pumping unit. Push the new filter firmly into place until you hear a slight "click" sound.
  5. Activate the Pitcher: Reinsert the water pumping unit into the pitcher. Tap the "Drop" button once to activate the pitcher. Then, press and hold the "Drop" button for 3 seconds. Regular filter replacement is crucial for maintaining optimal water quality and taste. The Waterdrop WD-EDFA filter has a limited lifespan.

  • Replacement Frequency: It is recommended to replace the filter after filtering 200 gallons of water or every 3 months, whichever occurs first.
  • Monitoring: Your electric pitcher may have an indicator to remind you when a filter change is due. Refer to your pitcher's manual for specific details.

5. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Waterdrop WD-EDFA filter.

  • Slow Filtration: If the water flow rate becomes noticeably slow before the recommended replacement period, ensure the filter is correctly seated and not clogged. If the issue persists, it may indicate high sediment levels in your tap water, requiring earlier filter replacement.
  • Unusual Taste/Odor: If you notice an unusual taste or odor in the filtered water, it is likely time to replace the filter. Ensure the new filter is properly installed and flushed according to the instructions.
  • pH Level Not Changing: If you are testing the pH of the water and it does not show the expected increase, ensure the filter is new and properly installed. The pH increase is dependent on the feed water's pH level.
