4. Setup
Before first use, ensure your Nautitalk Bosun headset is fully charged. Use the provided magnetic USB power & data cable to connect the headset to a power source. A full charge typically takes 2.5 hours.
4.1 Wearing the Headset
The Nautitalk Bosun is designed for comfortable wear with various headwear. Adjust the headband strap for a secure fit around your neck and ears. The microphone should be positioned close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Button Functions
The Nautitalk Bosun features four main buttons:
- Multi-function Button: Used for various controls including power, phone calls, and music.
- Mesh Intercom Button (M): Activates and manages Mesh Intercom.
- Volume Up (+) Button: Increases volume and navigates menus.
- Volume Down (-) Button: Decreases volume and navigates menus.
5.2 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function Button and the Mesh Intercom Button simultaneously for 1 second.
- Power Off: Tap the Multi-function Button and the Mesh Intercom Button simultaneously.
5.3 Bluetooth Pairing (Smartphone)
- With the headset off, press and hold the Multi-function Button for 5 seconds. You will hear 'phone pairing' and the LED will flash blue and red.
- On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and select 'Sena Nautitalk Bosun' from the list of available devices.
- The headset will connect, and the LED will turn solid blue.
5.4 Phone Calls
- Answer Call: Tap the Multi-function Button once.
- End Call: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 2 seconds.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 2 seconds.
5.5 Music Controls
- Play/Pause: Hold the Multi-function Button for 1 second.
- Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up (+) Button for 1 second.
- Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down (-) Button for 1 second.
5.6 Mesh Intercom Activation & Channel Selection
The Mesh Intercom is always open for communication once activated. It supports up to 9 channels to avoid interference.
- Activate Mesh Intercom: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once. The LED will flash green.
- Change Channel: Double-tap the Mesh Intercom Button to enter channel selection mode. Use the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons to scroll through channels (1-9). Press the Multi-function Button to select your desired channel.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the headset with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

- Intercom Issues: Verify Mesh Intercom is activated and all users are on the same channel. If interference occurs, try switching to a different channel.
- Factory Reset: If experiencing persistent issues, perform a factory reset. Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 10 seconds until you hear 'Headset Reset, Goodbye'. This will restore default settings.
