2. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the PRO2 Check Elite. Failure to follow these instructions could result in inaccurate readings or device malfunction.

  • This device is intended for use with most molecular sieve type oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen, and oxygen cylinders.
  • WARNING: This device is NOT for use with anesthesia systems.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
  • Keep the device away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Use only the specified 9V battery.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel if maintenance is required.

3. Device Overview and Components

The PRO2 Check Elite features a clear digital display and intuitive buttons for easy operation. Key components include:

  • Digital Display: Shows oxygen concentration, flow rate, and pressure readings.
  • On/Off Button: Powers the device on or off.
  • Pressure Button: Toggles to display pressure readings.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare your PRO2 Check Elite for use:

  1. Install Battery: Open the battery compartment on the back of the device. Insert one 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely. (A 9V battery is included with the device).
  2. Power On: Press the on/off button to turn on the device. The display will illuminate.
  3. Initial Check: The device will perform a brief self-test. Ensure the display shows a stable reading before proceeding.

5. Operating Instructions

The PRO2 Check Elite allows for quick and accurate measurements of oxygen concentration, flow, and pressure.

5.1. Measuring Oxygen Concentration

  1. Connect the oxygen source (e.g., concentrator, cylinder) to the inlet port of the PRO2 Check Elite using appropriate tubing.
  2. Ensure the device is powered on.
  3. The device will automatically display the oxygen concentration. Allow a few seconds for the reading to stabilize.

5.2. Measuring Flow Rate

  1. With the oxygen source connected and the device powered on, press the flow button.
  2. The display will switch to show the current oxygen flow rate.

5.3. Measuring Outlet Pressure

  1. With the oxygen source connected and the device powered on, press the pressure button.
  2. The display will switch to show the current outlet pressure.

5.4. One-Button Calibration Check

The PRO2 Check Elite features an easy one-button calibration check to verify accuracy instantly.

  1. Ensure the device is in a clean air environment (not connected to an oxygen source).
  2. Press the pure O2 calibrate button.
  3. The device will perform a self-calibration check. A successful check indicates the device is operating within its specified accuracy.

5.5. Wide Compatibility

The PRO2 Check Elite is designed for broad compatibility:

  • Intended for use with most oxygen concentrators (molecular sieve type).
  • Can be used for spot-checking oxygen concentration from liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders.
  • Important: Not for use with anesthesia systems.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
