1. Product Overview

The sktome V8s Podcast Equipment Bundle is a professional live broadcast mixer designed to support various audio activities including podcasting, recording, singing, streaming, and gaming. It features a newly-designed V8s sound card and two BM-800 condenser microphones, integrating an audio interface with rich functions and multiple controls to optimize your voice. 3. Setup Instructions

Before initial use, please charge the V8s sound card for 4-5 hours using the provided USB cable. The charging indicator will show red when charging and green when fully charged.

3.1 Microphone Assembly

  1. Attach the microphone shock holder to the microphone boom arm.
  2. Secure the BM-800 condenser microphone into the shock holder.
  3. Attach the pop filter to the boom arm, positioning it in front of the microphone.
  4. Place the foam cover over the microphone head.

3.2 Connecting to the V8s Sound Card

The V8s sound card features multiple input/output ports for versatile connectivity.

  • Connect the XLR to 3.5mm cable from the microphone to the 'Condenser mic 1' or 'Condenser mic 2' port on the sound card.
  • Plug your 3.5mm earphones into the 'Headset' or 'Monitor' port for real-time audio monitoring.
  • Use the 3.5mm audio cables to connect your mobile phone(s) to the 'LIVE1' or 'LIVE2' ports for live broadcasting.
  • Connect the USB charge cable from the sound card to your computer for charging or PC live broadcast.

3.3 Initial Power On

When turning on the sound card for the first time, press the 48V button to ensure the microphone works normally. Otherwise, the microphone may not be powered.

4. Operating Instructions

The V8s sound card offers a range of controls and features to enhance your audio experience.

4.1 Main Controls

  • Microphone Volume Knob: Adjusts the microphone input level.
  • Treble/Mid/Bass Knobs: Fine-tune the microphone's tonal qualities.
  • Reverb Knob: Controls the depth of the reverberation effect.
  • Record Knob: Adjusts the volume of the recording.
  • Accompany Knob: Adjusts the volume of the accompaniment music.
  • Monitor Knob: Adjusts the volume of the earphones/headset.

4.2 Special Functions

  • Eliminate: One key to eliminate 80% original sound, thereby making the music turn into accompaniment.
  • Internal Play: When turned on, the sound played by the computer can be recorded back to the computer. When turned off, the sound played by the computer can only be monitored and cannot be recorded back to the computer.
  • Ducking: When the anchor interacts with the fans, it will automatically lower the volume of accompaniment. When you stop talking, the accompaniment resumes normal playback.
  • Denoise: This key can reduce external noise, making your sound clearer.
  • BT (Bluetooth): Turn on the device and search for 'M8' to connect. After successful connection, the indicator light is always on, and you can play accompaniment music.

4.3 Sound Effects & Voice Changer

The sound card includes 12 kinds of electric sounds, 12 kinds of sound effects, and 10 modes to make your recording more creative.

  • Electric Tones: Short press to switch tones, a total of 12 kinds.
  • Voice Changer: Short press to turn on the voice changing mode, including four different voice changing modes: male voice, female voice, baby voice, and monster voice.
  • Special Sound Effects: Contains 23 special effects sounds, short press to play different sound effects.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your podcast equipment, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the sound card and microphones to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Store the equipment in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Handle all components with care to prevent physical damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1 Microphone Does Not Work

  • Answer: When you turn on the sound card for the first time, you need to press the 48V button to make the microphone work normally. Otherwise, the microphone cannot be powered and work.

6.2 Sound Card Doesn't Work After First or Several Uses

  • Answer: Please charge the sound card fully. It is recommended to charge it for more than 4 hours for the first time. All the products have been strictly tested and must work. It can be used for about 6-8 hours after a full charge.

6.3 I Can't Hear Any Sound, How to Solve It?

  • Answer: First, make sure that the sound card is switched to the working state of the 48V microphone. Its volume is turned up to maximum (especially 'Monitor' and 'Mic'). Secondly, you need to connect earphones to the 'Earphone' jack to monitor.

6.4 It Has Echo When Used

  • Answer: This is the sound mixing function of the sound card. You can turn the 'Reverb' knob to the lowest.

6.5 How to Connect This Live Sound Card to Bluetooth

  • Answer: Turn on the device and search for 'M8' to connect. After the connection is successful, the indicator light is always on. It has a memory function and will automatically pair with your device when it works again.
