1. Introduction

The AGJ Wireless Tour Guide System Model 813 is a one-way audio communication system designed for clear and efficient communication in various environments. It is ideal for tour groups, factory tours, training sessions, conferences, events, simultaneous interpretation, and assisted listening systems for churches or schools. The system operates on UHF 902-928 MHz, suitable for North America, and offers a working range of 150-180 meters (165-200 yards) in line of sight.

3. Product Overview

3.1. Transmitter (813T)

The transmitter is used by the speaker to broadcast audio. It features a display for channel indication, buttons for channel selection, and a mute function. It comes with two microphone options: a headset microphone and a small plug-in microphone.

3.2. Receiver (813R)

The receivers are distributed to the audience members. Each receiver has a display for channel and volume, buttons for channel selection and volume adjustment, and a 3.5mm jack for connecting the D-shape earphone.

3.3. Charging Station

The 15-slot charging station allows for convenient charging of multiple devices simultaneously. It uses contact charging to prevent damage to individual device charging ports. Each device can also be charged individually via a Type-C cable.

4. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to set up your AGJ Wireless Tour Guide System:

  1. Charge Devices: Before first use, fully charge all transmitters and receivers using the provided charging station or individual Type-C cables. The charging light will be red during charging and turn blue when fully charged.
  2. Connect Microphone to Transmitter: Plug your preferred microphone (headset or small plug-in) into the 3.5mm microphone jack on the transmitter.
  3. Connect Earphone to Receiver: Plug the D-shape earphone into the 3.5mm headphone jack on each receiver.
  4. Power On: Turn on the transmitter and all receivers.
  5. Select Channel: Ensure the transmitter and all receivers are set to the same channel. Use the LEFT or RIGHT buttons on the front of the devices to change the channel. The system offers 26 channels to avoid interference.

5. Basic Operation

5.1. Channel Selection

To change the channel on both the transmitter and receivers, press the LEFT or RIGHT arrow buttons located on the front of the device. Ensure all devices are on the same channel for proper communication. The system supports 26 channels to minimize interference.

5.2. Volume Adjustment

On the receiver, use the + or - buttons to adjust the listening volume to a comfortable level. This can be done at any time during operation.

5.3. Mute Function (Transmitter)

The transmitter includes a mute button (labeled 'M') to temporarily stop audio transmission. Press it once to mute, and again to unmute.

5.4. Locking Devices

To prevent accidental channel changes, move the power button to the LOCK position. When locked, the channel cannot be changed. This feature is useful during active tours or presentations.

6. Charging Instructions

The AGJ Wireless Tour Guide System devices are equipped with high-capacity rechargeable lithium batteries (1000 mAh).

  • Charging Station: Place the transmitters and receivers into the 15-slot charging station. Ensure the devices are properly seated for contact charging. The indicator light on each slot will turn red during charging and blue when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
  • Individual Charging: Each device can also be charged individually using a standard Type-C USB cable (not included for individual charging).

Battery Life: The transmitter provides approximately 8 hours of continuous operation on a full charge, while receivers offer up to 15 hours.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Audio from Receiver:
    • Ensure the receiver is powered on.
    • Verify the receiver and transmitter are on the same channel.
    • Check the receiver's volume level.
    • Ensure the earphone is properly plugged into the receiver.
    • Confirm the transmitter's microphone is connected and not muted.
  • Poor Audio Quality/Interference:
    • Change the channel on both the transmitter and receivers to an unused channel. The system has 26 channels available.
    • Ensure the transmitter and receivers are within the specified working range (150-180 meters line of sight). Obstacles can reduce range.
    • Check for other wireless devices operating on similar frequencies in the vicinity.
  • Device Not Charging:
    • Ensure the charging station is properly connected to power.
    • Verify the device is correctly seated in the charging slot, making proper contact.
    • If using a Type-C cable, ensure it is fully inserted and the cable/adapter are functional.
