3. Setup
3.1 Initial Setup & App Pairing
- Charge the Camera: Ensure the camera is fully charged before initial use.
- Download Imou Life App: Search for 'Imou Life' in your smartphone's app store or scan the QR code in the Quick Installation Manual.
- Power On: Turn on the power switch located at the bottom of the Cell PT camera. Wait for the device to complete its self-check.
- Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your smartphone and the camera are within 3 meters of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router during the pairing process. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- Add Device: Open the Imou Life app, tap the '+' icon to add a new device. Scan the QR code on the camera or its packaging to identify the device.
- Follow In-App Instructions: The app will guide you through connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network and linking it to your Imou account.

3.2 Installation Methods
The Imou Cell PT camera offers flexible installation options. Always ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the camera and solar panel.
3.2.1 Ceiling Mounting
- Remove the ceiling mounting sticker from the package and attach it to your desired mounting area on the ceiling.
- Drill holes according to the corresponding positions marked on the sticker.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling using the provided screws. Insert expansion screws if necessary for added stability.
- Push the camera device into the mounting bracket until you hear a 'click', indicating it is securely in place.
- Adjust the antennas for optimal signal reception and remove the protective film from the lens.

3.2.2 Wall Mounting
- Remove the wall mounting sticker from the package and attach it to your desired mounting area on the wall.
- Drill holes according to the corresponding positions marked on the sticker.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Insert expansion screws if necessary.
- Push the camera device into the mounting bracket until you hear a 'click'.
- Adjust the antennas and remove the protective film from the lens.

3.2.3 Pillar Mounting (Solar Panel)
- Pass the tie through the hole in the mounting bracket.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the pillar using the tie.
- Combine the solar panel with the mounting bracket by tightening the nut on its backside.
- Open the protective cover on the bottom of the camera and insert the charging cable from the solar panel into the device. Press the plug firmly to the end.
- When solar charging, the blue light on the side of the charging port will blink. A constantly lit blue light indicates a full charge.
