Setup Guide
Downloading the App
To use your Rettru QH5 Mini WiFi Camera, you need to download the companion application. Search for "Star Eye" in your mobile App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and install it.

Initial Device Reset
Before connecting, it is recommended to reset the camera to factory settings:
- Ensure the camera's red light is flashing slowly.
- Press and hold the reset button for 3-5 seconds until the device resets.
Connecting to WiFi (AP Mode)
Follow these steps to connect your camera to your home WiFi network:
- Open the "Star Eye" app and select "Add device."
- Confirm that the device has been reset and click "Next."
- Go to your phone's WiFi settings.
- Select the device hotspot that starts with "AYS" from the list.
- Return to the app. If prompted to "stay connected" or use data traffic, choose to "stay connected" or confirm.
- If you want to view live video remotely, click the 'OK' option to continue. If you only want to watch live video up close without a WiFi network, you can click 'Cancel'.
- Select your home WiFi network from the list.
- Enter your WiFi password, confirm it is correct, and click "Next."
- The device will now connect to the network. Keep the device close to the router and do not cut off power during this process. This may take up to 2 minutes.
- Once the blue light on the device is solid, the network configuration is successful.

Live Remote Viewing
After successful setup, you can access the live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere, using the "Star Eye" app on your smartphone or tablet. The app allows multiple users to view the feed simultaneously.

WiFi Connection Issues

- The camera only connects to 2.4GHz frequency WiFi. It does not support 5G frequency band WiFi or mixed frequency WiFi. It also does not support connecting to access networks set by the router.
- Ensure the device is within the connection range of your router. Try moving the device closer to the router and attempt to configure the network again.
- The WiFi network name (SSID) should not exceed a certain length, and it cannot be set as hidden.
- Check if your router has any restrictions on device access (e.g., MAC address filtering).
