2. Safety Information

WARNING: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when operating the chainsaw.

• Keep hands and body clear of the chain when the chainsaw is running.
• Ensure the battery is removed when performing maintenance, cleaning, or when the tool is not in use.
• Do not operate the chainsaw in wet conditions or near flammable liquids or gases.

4. Product Overview

5. Setup

5.1. Install the Battery

1. Ensure the chainsaw is off and the security lock button is engaged.
2. Align the battery pack with the battery slot at the base of the handle.
3. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

5.2. Install and Adjust the Chain

The chain must be installed correctly and tensioned properly for safe and efficient operation.

1. Ensure the battery is removed.
2. Remove the sprocket cover and guide plate.
3. Carefully place the chain around the sprocket and guide plate, ensuring the cutting teeth face the correct direction (refer to Figure 5.1).
4. Reattach the guide plate and sprocket cover.
5. Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning knob. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled around the guide bar by hand. A common guideline is to expose approximately 0.12 inches of the chain when pulling down on it.

5.3. Lubricate the Chain

Proper lubrication is essential for chain longevity and cutting performance.

Tip: Do not operate the chainsaw without lubricating the guide bar and chain.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Starting and Stopping

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed.
2. Wear all recommended PPE (safety glasses, gloves).
3. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
4. Press the security lock button, then squeeze the variable speed trigger switch to start the chainsaw.
5. Release the trigger switch to stop the chainsaw.

6.2. Cutting Techniques

• Always ensure the work area is clear of obstructions and bystanders.
• Identify the cutting line and ensure the branch or wood is stable.
• Begin cutting with the bottom of the guide bar, allowing the chain to pull the saw into the wood.
• Avoid forcing the saw; let the chain do the work.
• For larger branches, make an undercut first to prevent pinching and splintering.
• Be mindful of kickback, especially when cutting with the tip of the guide bar or when the chain pinches.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Chain Sharpening and Replacement

• A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase battery drain. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary.
• Refer to the chain manufacturer's instructions for proper sharpening techniques.

7.2. Cleaning

• After each use, remove the battery and clean sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
• Use a brush or compressed air for cleaning. Do not use water or solvents.

7.3. Battery Care

• Charge the battery fully before first use and after each use.
• Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
